Basic course of brush calligraphy
The basic course of brush calligraphy mainly focuses on the basic strokes of China's calligraphy, that is, horizontal, vertical, point, left, right and hook, and there are many ways to write each basic stroke.
1, draw horizontally. Transverse is divided into long transverse, short transverse and long bow transverse. Start writing against the front, fold the front to stop writing, turn the front to spread out, turn the front to stop writing, and return to the front to collect the pen.
2. Vertical painting is divided into needle vertical, middle hammer vertical and left hammer vertical. Start with the pen pointed at the front, fold the pen, and return to the front to collect the pen.
3. Acupoints are divided into seven types: vertical, horizontal, left, right, left, reverse and right.
4. There are seven kinds of skimming: oblique skimming, crescent skimming, front and back skimming, willow skimming, long oblique skimming, short oblique skimming and flat skimming.
5. There are two kinds of pressing: oblique pressing and flat pressing. Pick up the pen lightly, stroke down to the right, press it gradually, stop at your feet, and go out to the right. The last step of oblique pressure should be "full of twists and turns", and the flat pressure will be more stable.
6. Hooks can be divided into horizontal ditch, vertical hook, oblique hook, vertical hook, back hook and vertical hook.
What kind of brushes do beginners use?
There is no obvious size division for pens. Generally, beginners will buy yellow Mi Zige Xuan paper to practice. Generally, Mi Zige is below 10 cm, with different sizes, including 8 cm and 6 cm, and 6 cm is too small, usually 8- 10 cm. It is recommended to use a medium-sized brush.
Beginners need to consider the size of their own practice font when choosing a brush, unless the practice font is very large, and the general characters are block letters. If you want to use angular brush, you'd better choose hard hair, and the font you want to practice is plump and round, and you'd better choose soft hair.
If you want to practice a strong font, you'd better choose a cursive script with short strokes and comfortable font. You'd better choose a long wool. If you practice rough and vigorous fonts, you can choose a soft brush. When you start to learn meticulous calligraphy, you should choose hard pen or double-headed brush.
Beginners should choose Langhao or Shuanghao to practice calligraphy, because Yang Hao was not easy to master at first. There are three kinds of brushes: large, medium and small. It is best to choose large pens, two medium pens and two small pens.
Brush strokes are divided into three types: long, medium and short. Beginners need to avoid long strokes.
How to choose a brush for writing brush characters
Pay attention to roundness, sharpness, hygiene and neatness when choosing a brush. Round, the pen tip should be round, and force can be exerted in all directions; Sharp, sharp; Healthy, the nib, waist and roots are tough, and the nib can recover quickly after deformation; After the pen tip is unfolded, the wool is neat and the force is uniform.
The brush you buy should match the font you want to write. For example, you should use a small pen to write small letters, and it is best to use sheep hair to write seal script and official script. The ink storage capacity of sheep hair is thicker than that of capitalized lines. It is better to write running script with wolf hair, which is harder and can write very detailed pens. Try to write regular script with double-stranded brush, which is flexible and has a large amount of ink storage.
There is no need to buy expensive wolf hair in the primary stage of calligraphy practice. You can buy an ordinary double brush to practice writing first. This is not to save money, but to adapt to the characteristics of various brush writing. If the level of calligraphy has become its own, we should pay attention to the quality and grade requirements of pens.
If you want to choose a good brush, you can let the brush spread out and then touch the tip of the brush with your hand. Brush should be smooth, delicate, not prickly and rough. Then holding the pen in the right hand and writing in the palm of the left hand, you can feel the toughness and elasticity of the pen well, and a good pen can recover quickly after the nib is deformed.
After the brush is scattered, you can look at the tip of the brush under the light. A good brush is transparent and can see the "awn" at the tip of animal hair. If it is not obvious, it can be distinguished more clearly after dipping in ink. If the pen tip is white after being dipped in ink, it is a good pen.
