In the summer of xx, the Agriculture, Countryside and Farmers Service Agency of Northwest Normal University sent 16 students to zhenyuan county, Qingyang City for a teaching period of 15 days. As students of Northwest Normal University, eight of us were selected by the Provincial Education Institute to teach in Zhangdawan Village, zhenyuan county.
Time flies. It seems that just yesterday, the "Northwest Normal University Summer Teaching Mobilization Conference" held by our school has come to an end. Recalling the past 15 days and nights, there are passions, dullness, laughter and tears ... too many feelings come to mind.
The summer of xx is a sunny season. On July 14, xx, we went to zhenyuan county with full enthusiasm and started our teaching life for half a month.
The warmth of midsummer can't cover up the beautiful scenery along the way. The rolling mountains and the beautiful rivers with green grass make us students who have been in school for a long time feel the breath of nature. At noon on July 15, we arrived at Zhangdawan Village in zhenyuan county successfully. We were greeted by President Cao Guofeng, teachers of Zhangdawan Primary School, village leaders and members of the Community Learning Service Center. Wang Zhishu and President Cao first introduced us to the basic situation here. There are 7 teachers in Zhangdawan Primary School, 146 students. Because of the deep ravine and inconvenient transportation in Zhangdawan Village, the teachers of basic education are very weak. The overall level of rural teachers and the quality of rural education are relatively backward, and the implementation of quality education has just started. In addition, mountain village primary schools are different from schools in cities, with insufficient hardware facilities and backward teaching methods. Especially as the whole village, it was only in July of XX that the kerosene lamp was officially bid farewell, and it was only last year that tap water was used. The hardships of natural conditions can be seen from this, so the difficulties before us are also obvious.
In the activity, as the person in charge of teaching, I am generally responsible for arranging the teaching tasks of our 8-person group and teaching my own courses well.
Three-foot platform
Mainly responsible for the comprehensive teaching of junior middle school classes (grade six and above) and middle school classes (grade three or four). Comprehensive curriculum is a great synthesis of politics, geography and history. The reason why I originally considered offering this course is that the following students have little chance to get in touch with new things outside, and the outside world is changing rapidly. If a person wants to stand on the society, he should not only master the knowledge in books, but also understand the society and master some basic methods of dealing with people.
It is for this reason that I think this course is very important, because it is not only different from Chinese rhetoric, but also different from the strict logic of mathematics. Instead, it pays more attention to an inner humanistic accomplishment, which is the accumulation of its own basic quality. Therefore, this course is both an opportunity and a challenge for my first teaching activity.
The opportunity is that as a liberal arts student, politics, history and geography, as a course whose contact time is only beyond the number of languages, I should say that I am familiar with it. After listening to the teacher for three years in high school, I finally got a chance to try my hand this time, and my inner excitement can be imagined. But opportunities and risks coexist, and this unpredictable risk made me suffer enough in the early stage of teaching.
According to the original idea, my course takes the global relay of the Olympic flame as the background, and selects ten representative countries and regions to talk about the local geographical environment, customs, politics, economy, culture, diplomacy and other aspects, so as to broaden students' horizons, and at the same time, interspersed with some anecdotes about the country, so as to enhance the classroom interest and facilitate students' understanding and memory.
This idea is good, but on the first day of class, this idea met with challenges. First of all, due to the particularity of the subject, the difficulty of the course is not easy to control, and the result is the same course. For the students in Grade Three, this arrangement is relatively simple because of more or less contact. For middle school students who have never been exposed to this kind of thing, these courses are very fresh and attractive, but the problem is that they can't understand them. Although they are very excited when facing the globe for the first time and eager to show their skills one by one, it is obvious that they are only attracted by the gorgeous appearance of the globe and have limited understanding of the stadium itself.
I was frustrated after my first failure, but the pressing time forced me to make adjustments. So the old lesson plans were abandoned and everything was reinvented. I no longer stick to religious plans, but care about the similarities and differences between Britain and Japan. I began to care about the surrounding environment, the things around the students, and wanted to communicate with them and know what they wanted to know. ...
After making these preparations, my class began again. This time, I didn't bring my lesson preparation notes, but I brought a globe, because today's lesson is completely in my mind.
Junior high school students are still the same, but I am not who I was yesterday. Through the understanding of the previous day, I basically grasped the expectations of the children. After careful preparation, the comprehensive class is doomed not to let them down. ..... Sure enough, the course was a success. The students stood up and said goodbye when the bell rang. A student named Wen Li came running to me and said, Miss Yang, I think you are giving us lessons too fast! I don't know why, I was moved by this child at that moment. Perhaps this is the most attractive part of the teaching profession, because I don't know when it will suddenly jump out to haunt you and make your eyes moist.
Quality development
As another highlight of our teaching course, the one and a half hour quality development course every afternoon is undoubtedly very attractive. In this class, we offer interesting courses such as martial arts, dance, chorus, basketball, table tennis, etc. according to students' hobbies, and the top three are for our last literary performance with Zhengzhou University, so time is tight and tasks are heavy, and everyone is holding their breath. I teach table tennis in Sutoban. Since table tennis is the national sport of China, its overall level must be very high. Sure enough, I am satisfied with the students' performance.
Facing the loess
In this world, farmers are the most hardworking and simple people. Their generations turned their backs on the sky and faced the loess, only for the meager harvest in the field, they exhausted their efforts. They are the cutest people! My hometown is in the countryside. When I was a child, my rural life made me never forget the simplicity and enthusiasm of the people in my hometown. Even now in Zhangdawan, when I face them, their faces still flash with their parents' shadows, so sometimes I really feel an impulse to cry.
Supporting agriculture, as the second important task of our activities, is undoubtedly very weighty. In order to make our activities in the countryside have a satisfactory harvest, we made preparations in advance-drew posters and posted them in the most eye-catching places in the village to attract the audience; Let the students take a message to their families. The school has arranged a wealth of agricultural information, and parents are welcome to come. And asked the village leaders to mobilize in advance and so on. And we did prepare many colorful projects for that day's activities.
My second task in going to the countryside is to hold a villagers' sports meeting. The plan is very detailed and feasible, but it was cancelled due to time constraints, but some of our other activities are still very interesting. We chose the country fair as our activity day to support agriculture. On this day, we focused on the students' own works, all kinds of colorful paintings, and all kinds of calligraphy, as well as various folk crafts such as paper-cutting, embroidery and sachets, as well as the students' personal talents. Parents are very happy to see their children perform gracefully in front of everyone. Our lecture on supporting agriculture is also very vivid. On the issue of family education, I also talked about my family education with a villager in detail. Everyone had a lively conversation, and through our conversation, parents also sent their children to us with confidence.
The most important thing in supporting agriculture is the basketball match between villagers and college students, which has been going on for several times. Teachers, villagers and our volunteers all took an active part and had a fierce time.
study
I'm afraid the hardest thing to do in the countryside is to investigate, because the traffic in Zhangdawan is inconvenient, and going out is a mountain road. It is common for two families to walk on the mountain road for half an hour, but it also highlights the typicality of investigation work. It's a pity that I didn't personally participate in the research practice, but I also heard a lot of feelings about the research from other teammates, that is, learning experience!
"Why are my eyes full of tears? Because I love this land deeply! "
The short fifteen-day teaching activity will soon be over.
On the last day of teaching, when our joint performance was coming to an end, all the teachers who had been with Cao Wan and Zhang Dawan for half a month came up to shake hands with us. We suddenly found that the teachers had tears in the corner of their eyes, but their mouths were still hard pressed and choked, but they still strongly encouraged us: children, don't cry, be strong. ...
But they are the ones who really cry into tears!
After school, our lovely students refused to leave, sobbed around us and silently said goodbye to us with tears. At that moment, we really felt that all the words were so pale and powerless. When we face those simple and lovely children, everything seems insignificant, time seems to be frozen, and we cry-students, our lovely students!
The next morning, when the bus we took left Caowan Primary School, the students left tears again. We were already crying in the carriage. When the shuttle bus is drifting away, the familiar playground, school building and the valley in front of the familiar school gate of Zhangdawan Primary School, which we once fought for, once again appear in the line of sight outside the window, and all the joys of the past emerge in front of us-goodbye, Zhangdawan; Goodbye, my lovely students!
The devil is in the details
Fifteen days in the countryside, there are regular meetings every day. The deepest feeling is that the captain will mention it every time-pay attention to details, and details determine success or failure!
For example, because I went to teach in two schools, Caowan and Zhangdawan, I held two "Olympic Cup Knowledge Competitions". The contents of the two events are almost the same, but the effects are different. For the first time, Zhiqiang Jiao and I thought our plan was very detailed, and the rest was normal play and improvisation on the court. Everyone firmly believes that the activity will be perfect, so we hardly pay attention to the words repeatedly emphasized by the captain: think carefully, not just plan roughly, but be detailed. But after the official start of the activity, we found that the captain's worries and reminders were not superfluous at all, and every detail would affect the overall situation. We have a lot of details on the court, such as fewer people responsible for scoring and too slow statistics; Some programs, no one is responsible for the countdown time; Among them, the contestants cheated; Maintenance of order at the event site .............................................................................................................................................. It is true that only through personal experience can ........................... know how many things cannot be accurately estimated in advance. The overall feeling is not bad, and it is a satisfactory ending. After all, it is the first time to join an organization.
