An overview of Chang Shuchun's characters

Chang Shuchun, born in 1942, Liaoning province, pen name Mo Weng, loved Danqing since childhood, and devoted himself to pen and ink for more than 60 years since he was six years old. Under the guidance of China's famous calligraphy masters Shen, Chinese painting masters and Zen Zun, on the basis of inheriting and drawing lessons from the essence of tradition, I pay attention to nature, follow nature attentively, concentrate on form, practice hard, accumulate profound knowledge, live and work in peace and contentment, and work quietly. Now he is a researcher of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute, a senior calligrapher, a top calligrapher in China and a member of China Calligraphers Association. His works have participated in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th National Calligraphy Exhibition, China-Japan Calligraphy Exchange Exhibition and China Contemporary Calligraphy Exhibition, and won many awards. Some of his works have been collected by the Great Hall of the People, China Art Museum and many domestic museums and famous artists. He has been invited to hold famous calligraphy exchange activities in Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Xi, Nanjing, Shandong, Shanxi, Hebei, Dalian, Anhui, Shanxi and Guangxi.

My understanding of calligraphy: the humble is extremely clever, the strange is full of brilliance, both form and spirit, full of true spirit. In today's prosperous times, all kinds of arts are developing vigorously, and calligraphy talents come forth in large numbers. It is indeed a blessing to carry forward the art of soul of china and open up a new look of calligraphy. There is no shortcut to calligraphy, so we should seek thinking, take the road of self, and strive to enter the way of collecting pen and ink.
