Qianlong's Jieyang County Records called Fengmen Ancient Road the "gateway" and "lock button" of Pu Sang. This used to be the only way for the ancient Chaozhou government to reach Jieyang County. Standing at the top of the fengmen trail at an altitude of more than 200 meters, I saw the front of the general and two peaks standing beside me, surrounded by mountains. The strange rocks are abrupt, piled up and shaped, and snuggled together in various ways. There are pine, cypress, fir and bamboo trails on the mountain, and there is the "Fengmen Ancient Temple", whose walls and roof beams are all granite. It is said that this temple was built in the Song Dynasty. Originally a Chinese fir structure, it was repeatedly destroyed by termites in past dynasties. The existing stone temple was rebuilt by Shipai villagers in Qing Dynasty. On one side of the ancient Fengmen Road, there is a 600-year-old banyan tree with an umbrella shape like a cover. The three-door and four-column archways are all made of granite. "The ancient road of closing doors" is the handwriting of Jieyang Jinshi and famous calligrapher Zeng. There are also several scenic pavilions on the stone path, written by ancient sages and modern people. There is an ecological agriculture demonstration garden at the foot of the mountain, which contains the famous fruit of Taiwan Province Province-pitaya. From Dayuan, the east entrance of Fort Town, to Fengmen Ancient Road Scenic Area, all roads have been cemented.
In recent years, with the strong support from all walks of life, the newly-built stone-tablet-style mountain gate is magnificent, and the four characters of "ancient road to close the door" add weight and airflow to the mountain gate. The newly built mountain road is flat and flat; In addition, there are Huaiyuan Pavilion, Huangbanyan Tree and gurgling spring, which always accompany tourists to the ancient temple.
The first and second phases of Fengmen Gujing Project were completed one after another. The temple of the fairy mother is being built (completed) on the nearby mountain.
