Geng Shi originated from Geng State of Shang Dynasty, located in Hejin, Shanxi Province, and was a vassal state of Shang Dynasty. After the establishment of the Zhou Dynasty, Geng Guo was destroyed. Later, the Zhou royal family named the royal family Geng Guo and established Geng Guo. During the Spring and Autumn Period, it was destroyed by the State of Jin. In ancient Geng Shi, Levin (now Hebei) was the county seat, and in modern times, Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Liaoning and other provinces were the main settlements.
The Historical Development of Geng Shi Family;
The earliest record of the establishment of the ancient Geng state can be found in Shangshu Shangshu Zuyi: "Zuyi is pronounced in Geng and written as Zuyi." Unfortunately, the text of Zu Ti has not been handed down, and only the above sentence is used as the preface of Zu Ti, but this sentence in Shangshu records Geng as the capital of the country for the first time, and its era should be in the period of Zu Ti, that is, BC14th century.
So who is Zuyi? It turned out that the great-grandson of the Yellow Emperor was named Kuxie, and his son was named Xie, the ancestor of the merchants. From the contract, it spread to Cheng Tang through 14 generations, overthrew the Xia Dynasty and established the Shang Dynasty. The Shang Dynasty experienced 17 years from the Tang Dynasty to the Zhou Dynasty.
