Henan Museum, I accidentally couldn’t visit it. After visiting it for 2 days, I have a little opinion.

————Lazy Rabbit’s 50th Travel Note————

The appearance design of Henan Provincial Museum is said to be inspired by the Dengfeng Observatory, just like a There are two pyramids, large and small, facing each other top to top.

Compared to the observatory, I feel that it is more like a huge hourglass from ancient times, reminding us that time keeps passing, but there are always some things that will not be taken away by time. But it will always shine brightly there.

Lazy Rabbit spent two days and visited all 14 exhibition halls in two times. It was indeed a worthwhile trip.

Henan Museum is definitely one of the best museums in China. Of course I know it's called a museum, and the people of Henan seem to be very insistent on this. It seems that "museum" is just a step above "museum" and has more aura.

The Henan Museum is indeed a museum that not only makes the people of Henan proud, but also makes every Chinese citizen proud.

The exhibition arrangement of Henan Museum is particularly satisfying. It is my favorite way-arranging exhibitions according to the chronological timeline. Personally, I don’t like the classification of cultural relics by type or nature like the Shanghai Museum and the Capital Museum. Of course, this is just my personal preference.

As the birthplace of Chinese civilization with a long history, there are so many important artifacts on display here. Each of the nine treasures of the museum, led by the Lotus Crane Square Pot and the Jiahu Bone Flute, is unique. It's so exciting that I can barely breathe.

The task of choosing a treasure must be a headache. These nine treasures are difficult to stand out because they are too precious or uniquely representative, because almost every exhibit in the museum is a rare treasure.

The hardware facilities and exhibition layout of Henan Museum have reached the level of a super first-class museum. The lighting and exhibition distribution are extremely reasonable, and the barrier-free facilities are the best among all domestic museums.

If there is any room for improvement, then Lazy Rabbit would be picky about it.

The first point is that the exhibits are getting weaker and weaker.

Due to the shape of the museum, the area shrinks a lot with each floor, and the exhibits on display seem to have followed this trend.

If the cultural relics from the Neolithic Age and the Xia, Shang and Zhou Dynasties on the first floor are a dizzying storm; the Qin, Han, Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties and the Sui and Tang Dynasties on the second floor can also be considered a flourishing chapter; then it’s time to On the third floor, the Song, Jin and Yuan periods in the first two exhibition halls suddenly fell into blandness, while the Ming and Qing periods in the third exhibition hall on the third floor almost ended hastily.

Of course, this may also be related to the weakening of the country at that time, and the political and cultural center gradually moved away from the Central Plains.

The second point is about the richness of the types of exhibits.

If you like bronzes like us, then this place is almost a temple. Except for the Sanxingdui Museum, which admires all the bronze art on the earth, it can look down on almost any other museum. Maybe the Hubei Provincial Museum can still fight, and the rest can just sleep.

However, if you like porcelain, then I can only say that you will not be too disappointed here, but it is also difficult to find surprises. If you only like gold, stone, jade, calligraphy and painting, then don’t come here at all. In short, this museum is like a student who is extremely partial to subjects. He is an unrivaled academic master in some subjects, but it is okay to ignore some subjects.

The third point is software.

As a museum that has just reopened, the management wants to do the best, which we can understand, but some practices are still open to discussion.

I went there for two consecutive days, and each time I caught up with many docents undergoing training. This is of course a great thing for the future, but can we consider doing it after the retreat or during low passenger flow times?

Sometimes you want to see an important exhibit, but the training instructor leads a dozen interns to surround the exhibit and patiently explain it for more than ten minutes. This kind of waiting is really uncomfortable. Pleasant people.

Fourth point: Can the "National Treasure Special Exhibition" on the third floor be renamed?

This name particularly caught the audience’s imagination, but in the end, there was only a Jiahu bone flute and a lot of written information, which was a bit of a gap. Maybe changing it to "Jiahu Bone Flute Special Exhibition" would be more objective.

The above are all nitpicks, but the flaws do not hide the advantages. We went to the Henan Provincial Museum twice in succession, but if you asked me if I would like to go a third or fourth time, or even within a short period of time, my answer would be: go! Must go! ! !

Finally, Lazy Rabbit does have a real opinion to make to the Henan Museum.

The entrance and exit of the museum are separate, and it is understandable that you will pass by the souvenir shop when you go to the exit. The souvenirs here are very attractive and really good. Even we, who dislike blind box culture very much, bought an official archaeological blind box, which made our already poor family even worse.

To put it bluntly, these are not the point. The key point is that there is no obvious separation between the souvenir shop and the museum. It is easy to walk from the museum lobby to the souvenir shop.

However, I saw with my own eyes this afternoon that two ladies were refused permission to return after taking a look at the souvenir shop! The staff asked them to enter through the entrance again. Not to mention whether the entrance was still open, you would have to queue up again to go through the security check. More importantly, it was already past four o'clock in the afternoon, and you could only enter but not leave the museum. This inexplicably deprived the two ladies of their right to visit.

Personally, I think this is very excessive and very disappointing! I am extremely glad that I stepped into this "trap" after visiting, but I sympathize with those two ladies and feel sorry for them.

If Henan Museum has to do this for one reason or another, can it set up a basic notification prompt?
