Development of regular script:
1. Early official scripts were few, with a slightly wider structure, long horizontal paintings and short vertical paintings. In Wei Jinzhong handed down from ancient times, such as Zhong You's Declaration Form, Ji Zhi Biao, Wang Xizhi's Theory of Music and Yi, Huang Tingjing, etc., can be regarded as representative works.
2. After the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the North and the South split, and calligraphy was also divided into two factions. The calligraphy style of the Northern School has inherited the legacy of Han Li. Its brushwork is simple and rigorous, but its style is simple and rigorous, so it is called "Weibei". Southern calligraphy is more sparse and beautiful than letters.
3. During the Northern and Southern Dynasties, because of regional differences, personal habits and book styles were very different. The books in the North are strong and the books in the South are rich, each of which is wonderful and inseparable, while Bao and Kang Youwei highly admire the books of the two dynasties, especially the epitaphs of the Northern Wei Dynasty. Kang cited ten beauties to emphasize the advantages of Weibei.
4. Regular script in the Tang Dynasty, like the prosperity of the national situation in the Tang Dynasty, is really unprecedented. The calligraphy style is mature and there are many calligraphers. In terms of regular script, Yu Shinan in the early Tang Dynasty, Ou Yangxun and Chu Suiliang, one of the four masters of regular script, Yan Zhenqing in the middle Tang Dynasty and Liu Gongquan in the late Tang Dynasty, all of their regular script works were valued by later generations and regarded as models of calligraphy.
Judging from the times and overall style, regular script can be divided into four types:
1, Jin Kai, represented by Zhong You, Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi in Wei and Jin Dynasties, Wang Xizhi was a great calligrapher in Jin Dynasty, a native of Shandong Province, and Huang Tingjing was the representative work of regular script.
2. Wei Kai represented by cliff stone carvings and inscriptions in Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties;
3. Ou Yangxun, Yan Zhenqing and Liu Gongquan, the four famous Tang Kai regular script writers. Yan Zhenqing was a great calligrapher in Tang Dynasty, a native of Shandong, and one of the four masters of regular script. His representative works in regular script include "Many Babies" and "Ma Gu Xian Tan Ji".
Liu Gongquan is also a great calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty, a native of Shaanxi, born after Yan Zhenqing, and one of the four masters of regular script. His regular script is rigorous and vigorous. His masterpiece is the mysterious tower monument. People call it "strict care"
5. Yuan Kai, represented by Zhao Mengfu, is also one of the four masters of regular script.
