First, the brushwork
Both soft pen calligraphy and hard pen calligraphy pay attention to certain brushwork, which is more important for brush calligraphy. The brushwork I'm talking about here mainly refers to brush calligraphy (all the calligraphy mentioned below refers to brush calligraphy).
The most important and fundamental brushwork is the central stroke, that is, the phrase "always make the brushwork move" Only when most strokes are written from the center, the lines of strokes are beautiful, round and elastic, and the words written in this way, and even the whole work, are successful. The principle of central stroke is not absolute, and some strokes need to use certain wings, which depends on the specific strokes and characters.
Some practical skills in brushwork, such as hiding the front, revealing the front, turning, wrapping the pen, uncovering the pen, collecting the pen, etc. , should be determined according to different fonts and styles.
Second, the inking method
Since ancient times, calligraphers have paid attention to the ink method, and modern calligraphy is even more unconventional and has made many innovations in ink method.
The so-called ink method in ancient calligraphy mainly refers to the shade and dryness of ink color. For example, dry ink should be used to write fine print, and cursive writing can moisten ink. Modern calligraphy has made many bold attempts, the most of which is the application of Su Mo, that is, the use of that wetting effect. Of course, some people add wine, tea and even soy sauce to the ink. I always feel that there is some hype, so I won't talk about him.
Third, composition
Composition of calligraphy is also an important content, which mainly refers to the layout planning and design of calligraphy. Including the density, weight and shade of the whole word, including the echo, swing and size of single-line words, as well as the leading sound, pitch and combination between words. Most ancient calligraphers paid great attention to the naturalness of composition, while modern calligraphers were obviously composing, sometimes exaggerating.
Fourth, the paper method
This formulation is not necessarily appropriate. Mainly using paper methods, including raw and cooked rice paper, thickness, width and so on. Many exquisite booksellers like to save paper, and feel that the new paper is not easy to use, so just store it for a certain period of time. I have been reluctant to buy good paper, and I don't feel the importance of paper. It may take considerable calligraphy attainments to reach the level.
