Diary of visiting the Convention and Exhibition Center

The Convention and Exhibition Center is exhibiting works by well-known painters and calligraphers from all over the world. My father and I can’t wait to visit.

When I entered the convention and exhibition center, I immediately felt like I had entered a colorful world full of art. It is full of tranquility and simplicity, making people feel so peaceful and harmonious. There is an endless stream of people admiring and appreciating paintings in the museum, but they are all infected by this cultural atmosphere, and the museum is orderly.

I walked to a picture of peonies. Large peonies with bright colors appear in front of you. Some of them are in bud, like little girls who are shy and afraid to see people; some are in full bloom happily, revealing the bright yellow stamens, smiling to welcome guests; some have just unfolded one or two petals, like individual flowers. The little girl stretched out her arms to catch the sunshine and rain from the sky. Several beautiful butterflies and hard-working bees are flying around on the peonies, making this peony picture more colorful.

I turned around, and a picture of thousands of horses galloping attracted me. The horses in the painting are all lifelike. The leader is a black horse running in front of the group of horses. Its figure looks particularly strong and vigorous in the sun. I seemed to see it neighing, its thick hoof wrists swinging its front hooves as big as a sea bowl. The strong horse team behind him looked very majestic under his leadership. This colorful ribbon composed of red, white and black horses flows on the endless prairie, forming a unique scenery on the summer grassland.

From the side came people’s admiration again. I ran over and got into the crowd. An old painter with gray hair is painting on the scene. In front of him was a pen holder made of sandalwood, with various types of brushes available. On the left hand side is a paint box for color mixing, as well as a box full of colored paints. The old painter spread a large piece of rice paper in front of him, and dipped his brush in paint. Sometimes he drew the movement of the waterfall in meticulous detail; sometimes he circled and quickly sketched out a little bird singing on a branch. Bird, sometimes he pauses to think. . . . After a while, a picture that combines movement and stillness with beautiful artistic conception was born. I was so impressed that I kept saying: "It's amazing!"

With admiration for the old painter, I looked at many paintings, including animals and plants, landscapes, and figures. The superb painting skills of the painters are amazing, and the colorful art world makes me intoxicated. While we were tasting and appreciating paintings, we also felt the infinite charm of our country’s traditional culture!
