Contents and requirements of the calligraphy examination

1. Copying of inscriptions

(1) Exam content: Copying of classic inscriptions from past dynasties. Candidates will be examined in three calligraphy styles: regular script, running script, official script, seal script, and cursive script. Candidates are required to write according to the original composition of the copies of the three calligraphy styles provided. They are required to be practical, accurate in structure, visible in writing, and have the intention of writing.

(2) Examination requirements: The specific copybook copybook will not be announced in advance. Candidates must copy according to the three copybook styles specified in the test questions. They are not allowed to change the style of the copybook without permission, otherwise the test paper will be invalid; the test paper will be written horizontally. The test paper should be written in the following formula (from right to left, folded four feet and three times), and the paper should not be signed or sealed; candidates are not allowed to change, add, or reduce the content of the test questions at will; they are not allowed to make any marks in the empty parts of the test paper, and they are not allowed to draw boundaries, otherwise The test paper will be invalid; the surface of the test paper should be kept clean and tidy, and the paper should not be replaced if the test paper is dirty. Candidates are required to bring their own practice papers, which cannot be used as test papers.

2. Creation

(1) Exam content: Candidates create according to their own strengths and specified text content.

(2) Examination requirements: Candidates can choose two types of calligraphy creations; the paper should be neat and clean without any marks; the work should not be signed or stamped; the test paper should be in vertical format (from right to left, folded in half at four feet) ) writing, candidates are not allowed to change, add or reduce the content of the test questions at will; do not write punctuation marks, can fold the ruled lines freely, are not allowed to draw boundaries, and are not allowed to make any marks in the empty parts of the test paper, otherwise the test paper will be invalid; the paper will not be replaced if the test paper is soiled . Candidates are required to bring their own practice papers, which cannot be used as test papers.

IV. Other matters

1. Test paper specifications: four feet in length.

2. Examination tools: Candidates must bring their own tools (brushes, ink, ink trays, felt pads, etc.) during the examination. Only examination paper is provided in the examination room.

3. Special reminder: Use the exam number barcode for the exam, and you do not need to fill in your name and exam number; the exam number barcode contains the candidate’s exam information, and it is strictly prohibited to tear or deface it without permission.
