The representative works of Huang Tingjian's running script are:

Lanting Preface, Yan Zhenqing's Sacrifice to His Nephew, Su Shi's Cold Food Post, in addition to Yuan Bo's post, Jiuhua's post, Zhao Meng's post, Zhang Hansi's post, Shu Su's post and so on.

From an artistic point of view, each has its own strengths, and each work is a classic model worthy of being copied by future generations.

1 102, which was the first year of worshipping Ning in the Northern Song Dynasty, that is, the first year of Song Huizong's administration. In September this year, there was a low mountain near a temple in the northwest of Ezhou City, Hubei Province, which was a scenic spot for future generations. This place is remembered by future generations because a great masterpiece in the history of calligraphy was born here.

This work is Huang Tingjian's Song Fengge Iron Stone, which is now in the National Palace Museum in Taipei and is his "calligraphy treasure". Because it is too precious, it is rarely exhibited.

This work was written by Huang Tingjian in "Song Feng Ge" written by his friend * * * who visited Fanshan in the first year of Chongning. At the time of writing this work, Huang Tingjian was in his twilight years, and his understanding of calligraphy had gone far beyond the Jin and Tang Dynasties, reaching the realm of god and enlightenment.

The style of this Song Fengge poem post is stirring, and the style of pike and spurge is vividly reflected in this post. As far as artistic achievements are concerned, this post is no less than Wang Xizhi's Preface to Lanting, and comparable to Yan Zhenqing's Sacrifice to My Nephew. It is the best work in the running script of the Song Dynasty, and the running script works of later generations are rarely second to none! It is a real masterpiece.

Huang Tingjian's calligraphy achievement is so high that some people even list him as the first of "Song Sijia". He is a rare famous artist in Song Dynasty who can compare with Jin and Tang Dynasties. In his works, the realm of "interest" and "enlightenment" has created a brand-new realm of calligraphy for future generations!
