First, take off the pen and take out the nib part (also called the pen grip part or simply "part") from the pen container. This is usually done by rotating the nib to contact the lens barrel at the nib portion.
If your pen uses an ink cartridge or converter, please take it out of the nib. In order to save ink and reuse it after cleaning the pen, you can use a piece of tape to seal the opening of the ink cartridge or converter to prevent the ink from drying.
flush
Put the nib part under tap water for a few seconds. This will remove any ink that is easy to remove and make the next step faster.
When cleaning pens, please only use cold water or room temperature water. Hot water may distort or damage some parts.
soak
Prepare a glass of water and soak the nib in it. When the ink is saturated, change the water. Repeat until the water remains clean for at least one hour. Conventional tap water usually works normally, but distilled water may be safer if the mineral content of tap water is high.
Step 4: drying.
Take the nib out of the water and dry it 12-24 hours. For the best effect, please put it in a small cup and wrap the nib with a soft and smooth cloth or paper towel to help draw water out of the nib.
Step 5: reassemble the pen
Once the nib is partially dry, if the pen uses a refill, please install an ink cartridge or converter, and then screw the nib back into the lens barrel.
If your pen is not well written, or you want to change the ink, we suggest that you clean your pen for a more thorough cleaning. "Flushing" simply means forcing water through the pen tip until it becomes clean.
If the pen has a converter or a built-in filling system, please use the following instructions.
Step 1
Take out and rinse the pen according to steps 1 and 2 in the above Basic Cleaning Instructions.
Second step
Put the open end of the ink stick or pen holder into a glass of water. Fill and empty the ink chamber until it becomes clean.
Third step
Reconnect the converter or pen holder to the nib part and put the nib in a glass of water.
Fourth step
Use a converter or built-in filling system to introduce water into and out of the fence. Repeat the above steps until the water is pushed out of the pen. If the ink is saturated, please change the water.
Step five
Let the nib part soak for several hours to dissolve any remaining ink.
Step 6
Dry and reassemble the pen according to steps 4 and 5 in the Basic Cleaning Instructions.
