Liang Jiang, deputy curator of China Art Museum and a famous contemporary Guangdong scholar and painter, held his first solo painting and calligraphy exhibition in Dongguan Lingnan Art Museum on 20 12 17, lasting for 20 days. This exhibition is jointly organized by China Art Museum, Guangdong Artists Association and Lingnan Art Museum. More than 100 pieces of calligraphy, landscapes and flowers and birds created by Liang Jiang in recent years were exhibited.
Liang Jiang is the first doctor and doctoral supervisor in Guangdong fine arts field. He graduated from Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in his early years and went to Beijing to complete his master's and doctoral studies. He once founded Guangdong Artists magazine in Guangdong, and served as editor-in-chief of Guangzhou Literature and Art. After arriving in Beijing, he served as director of the Institute of Fine Arts of China Academy of Fine Arts and deputy curator of China Art Museum. In recent years, he served as the chairman of doctoral graduation defense of Peking University, held lectures in Peking University and Tsinghua Humanities Forum for many times, served as the head of China artists' delegation to visit foreign countries, and was invited to be the director of the planning committee of the 20 12 London Olympic Fine Arts Conference.

This time, he returned to Guangdong to hold the "Feeling Lingnan-Liang Jiang Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition", which is the first exhibition of his personal painting and calligraphy works and will be exhibited in many places in Guangdong. The exhibition is called "Lingnan Feelings", which shows the attachment to this fertile soil of Guangdong. Lingnan Art Museum specially arranged the Spring Festival Gold Exhibition, which will add bright colors to the Spring Festival in Lingnan.
Liang Jiang studied famous calligraphy posts since childhood, and his calligraphy skills are quite deep. He studied various schools of law and was able to integrate the strengths of various schools into his personal style. The most striking cursive script is balanced vertically and horizontally, vigorous and simple, and its artistic personality is very distinct. In painting, I came from the oil painting class of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in my early years, and then I did Chinese painting. The landscape flowers and birds he created are smart and changeable in brushwork and elegant and natural in style. He has a deep knowledge of western painting, a deep understanding of traditional pen and ink, and can integrate rich knowledge and accomplishment into his pen, which reflects his outstanding cultural accomplishment, solid pen and ink skills and various creative talents. This exhibition of calligraphy and painting held in Guangdong shows for the first time more than 100 works created by Liang Jiang with different shapes and strokes.
