On the Calligraphy Art of Liu Ti

Liu Gongquan, whose real name is Cheng Xuan, was born in Jingzhao Garden (now Yaoxian County, Shaanxi Province) and was a famous calligrapher in the Tang Dynasty. Because of its outstanding spirituality, it is as famous as Yan Zhenqing in calligraphy, also known as "Yan Gu". It occupies an important position in the history of calligraphy in China. (A) Analysis of the basic techniques of Liu Ti

1, horizontal method

Pick up the pen and fold it against the front, to the right center, take the pen in the middle, fold the end down to the right, and return to the front to collect the pen. Liu Zi's horizontal strokes are neat and square, all the strokes are folded, and the long horizontal strokes are straight and clear.

Zang Feng-qi's pen, square and vigorous, strokes in the middle, stretches the front, grabs the pen in the air, and is straight and strong, like a hanging needle. Liuzi used a round pen to hang vertically, a needle to lift a pen as a square, and Fiona Fang used it both hard and soft.

The pen is facing the front, the hook is a round pen, the pen is facing down in the center, the middle is thin and straight, and the front is folded at the end of the vertical painting, ready to hook out. The straight hook of the willow word is on the inner side of the pen's excircle, such as the European body is tall and powerful. Cross-folding hooks should use the force of circular rotation.

The upper right corner of the word is called "folding pen", which means that after writing a horizontal line, you pick up the pen and write it as a fold, showing a rigid square folding brushwork.
