On static couplets

Weng Tonghe, the teacher of san huang in Qing Dynasty, wrote that every major event was calm, and he did not believe that there were no ancient sages today.

Tell people a truth, since ancient times, sages are also atmospheric people. The more they encounter earth-shattering events, the more calm they are and the more calm they are. It is quite useful to remember the meaning of this couplet.

Static air supply is powerful. In China, Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism all emphasize self-cultivation, and the meditation of Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism all emphasize concentration. With concentration, we can cope with emergencies. The ancients had an evaluation of promising generals: "Don't be surprised when you come suddenly, don't be angry when you are innocent"; "Elk thrives on the left without blinking, while Mount Tai collapses in front without changing color". In other words, no matter how wronged you are, no matter how tempted you are, no matter how dangerous you are, you should accept it frankly. A general who has experienced countless wars and fierce battles will be very calm when dealing with the changes in the situation during the war. The abbot, who meditates deeply, often seems very calm in the face of life and death choices. Being misunderstood and wronged, only ordinary people can draw their swords and stand up and fight. The ancients thought it was not brave enough. In the past, there was a saying, "endure a little anger and make great plans." And all this lies in the practical experience and the cultivation of will, which is determined by heart.
