Lin Zhiliang's Life Story

The first person in mainland China to hold a solo calligraphy exhibition in Taiwan Province.

As early as May 28th, 2005, Lin Zhiliang started his "Calligraphy Exchange Tour" in Taipei National Army Art Activity Center, and he became one of them.

The first person from the mainland held a solo calligraphy exhibition in Taiwan Province. Due to the influx of visitors, the original five-day exhibition period was extended to June 1 1 day, and the exhibition period was as long as 14 days.

On the opening day, people from political circles, military circles, business circles, cultural circles, religious circles, art circles, medical circles and religious circles in Taiwan Province Province came in an endless stream, with more than 200 baskets of congratulatory messages, including the signatures of the chairmen and vice-chairmen of the three parties of China and Singapore and 47 "legislators" from the blue-green camp. Xu Shui, former president of the Examination Institute, made an opening speech.

Peng Shaozhou, president of Taiwan Province's Unified Daily, praised Mr. Lin for his exquisite calligraphy, and Li Ao, a famous critic in Taiwan Province, called him a real calligrapher.

In the center of the exhibition hall of Lin Zhiliang's personal calligraphy exhibition in Taiwan Province Province, there is a capital running script "China People", and on the left is Xi Murong's "Homesickness".

On the right is Yu Guang's Homesickness, which attracts people from all walks of life and people who come to the exhibition to take pictures in front of the work.

Lin Zhiliang said: "The exhibition" Breaking the Ice "held in Taiwan Province Province is intended to attract jade, hoping to promote cross-strait calligraphy exchanges." . An entrepreneur from Taiwan Province Province wanted to buy the exhibited 1 18 works for1000000 yuan, but Lin Zhiliang politely declined. In order to realize his dream of holding an exhibition in Bao Dao, Lin Zhiliang personally spent nearly 600,000 RMB, but only brought back 1000 RMB. During the 14-day exhibition, a Kuomintang veteran from Shanxi visited the exhibition every day. On the last day, the veteran who had no relatives in Taiwan Province Province tearfully took out NT$ 1 100 from his pocket and asked the staff to give it to Lin Zhiliang, who was not at the scene anyway, so that Lin Zhiliang could take one of his things. Not meeting this Shanxi veteran has become the biggest regret of Lin Zhiliang's trip to Taiwan Province Province, and this 1000 NT dollar has become his most unique collection now.

"The Fate of Taiwan Province Province" began with my father.

Lin Zhiliang's relationship with Taiwan Province Province began with his father. He said with a smile, his mother is almost from Taiwan Province Province.

It turns out that Lin Zhiliang's father has a girlfriend in Taiwan Province Province. Decades later, when he went to Taiwan Province Province for calligraphy exchange, he also invited the lady to meet him on behalf of his father.

Lin Zhiliang's father, a gifted scholar in Tongan, was once employed as a housekeeper by a teahouse in Taiwan Province Province. It is said that I made a girlfriend in Taiwan Province Province and took her back to her hometown in Tongan to show her parents. They were very satisfied. It was summer, and this girlfriend from Taiwan Province Province was very avant-garde, swimming by the stream in a bathing suit, which attracted many villagers to watch. The traditional and conservative Lins were afraid to marry this daughter-in-law, so they asked Lin Zhiliang's father to send her back to Taiwan Province Province. 1950, Lin Zhiliang's father also returned to Tongan from Taiwan Province Province, and the two sides were isolated from each other.

Lin Zhiliang later made money and made friends by doing business with people from Taiwan Province Province in Xiamen. Three years ago, he invested in the development of Luohan Mountain and made a vow to invite 500 bodhisattvas. With the help of friends from Taiwan Province Province. Later, when he came to Taiwan Province Province for communication, he "reunited" his father's "missing lover". When they met, they could not help sighing.

Promoting cross-strait cultural exchanges with a big mountain

Now, under the impetus of Lin Zhiliang, Luohan Mountain is not only a platform for cross-strait calligraphy exhibition and exchange, but also contains more cultural connotations. He believes that with these connotations, Luohan Mountain will definitely become a famous mountain on both sides of the Taiwan Strait in the future.

Carry forward compassion and help the world with calligraphy.

In the past 10 years, on his way to visit celebrities, Lin Zhiliang always felt pity when he saw the poor and suffering people. Lin Zhiliang also plans to hold a number of individual calligraphy exhibitions in China in a few years, and the locations are selected in remote and poor mountainous areas. On the one hand, the calligraphy exhibition will arouse people's love for China's calligraphy. On the other hand, a charity sale will be held after the exhibition, and the proceeds from the charity sale will be donated to Hope Primary School in poor mountainous areas.

"Society has made us, so we should repay society." In 2009, when his alma mater Xiamen Tongan Experimental Primary School celebrated its centenary, Lin Zhiliang held a personal calligraphy exhibition, and some of his works were bought for more than 200,000 yuan. Lin Zhiliang donated all the money to his alma mater. Haiyuan, Ningxia, which is called the most inhospitable place for human habitation by the United Nations, Lin Zhiliang donated more than 200,000 yuan from the auction of his works in the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2009 to the local government for running a school, invited 1 1 local primary and secondary school students to study and exchange in Xiamen, and donated in that year to solve the tuition and fees of 4 poor college students in the local Lotus Town/kloc-0.

From a problem child who was suspended from school to a versatile calligrapher.

The great ambitions of historical figures in Lin Zhiliang's cursive script, such as Mao Zedong's Spring Snow in the Garden and Yue Fei's Red River, are bold and unrestrained, just like Ma Benteng in the wilderness and Longteng in the sky. He copied and described Buddhist classics in regular script, such as Prajna Paramita Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, Huayan Sutra, etc., which were exquisite and elegant, such as the Buddha's inculcation, and the witty words struck a chord, creating a peaceful and peaceful realm. However, his seal script is simple and elegant, and the composition of official script is smart, which shines in class.

But when it comes to calligraphy, Lin Zhiliang said that it was "accidental, and nature made people." When I was a child, Lin Zhiliang was very naughty. When I was in the second grade of primary school, I was suspended by my teacher for being naughty. Fu Lin, a beautiful writer in Weibei, locked Xiao Zhiliang up, pulled a few wires in the room and hung up all kinds of copybooks, so that Xiao Zhiliang had to complete a certain amount of calligraphy copying homework every day to eat enough, or he would be punished. After a semester, the teacher asked him to go back to school because he won the first prize for a crime in a school calligraphy competition.

After graduating from primary school, I met with the Cultural Revolution. At that time, the rebels had to copy posters, and they could get 50 cents a day for copying posters. At that time, I could buy 1 kg of rice, which made Lin Zhiliang feel that a good hand can have "real value" for the first time, and as the eldest son of the family, he began to have the responsibility to support his family. What's even more surprising is that other "reactionary academic authorities" who copied posters at that time were all intellectuals, all of whom were good at writing, while Lin Zhiliang, who was willing to ask questions, was more like a duck to water, studied diligently and repeatedly considered the copybooks. From compulsion to interest, Lin Zhiliang's obsession with calligraphy was out of control. After copying copybooks at home, go to bookstores and street bookshops to find them. In order to save money on buying copybooks, he stood in front of the bookstore or book stand for several hours, quietly put his right hand in his pants pocket, and wrote one by one according to the copybooks, and unconsciously ground out four pockets. When he was a child, he dyed his trousers with woven bags filled with urea and sewed them on. His pocket is made of cotton for wear resistance. And this habit of his has been maintained until now.

After falling in love with writing, Lin Zhiliang studied everything carefully. In his life and spare time, his talent and ability are dazzling. Up to now, he still insists on fitness training every day in his fifties, not to mention lifting weights of 100 kilograms. Strong physique and unusual arm strength are regarded by him as the necessary conditions for a long snake.

Adhere to calligraphy and understand Buddhism in the ups and downs of life.

1975, Lin Zhiliang, aged 2 1 year, was assigned to work in Zhu Xiu Craft Slipper Factory in Tongan Town (now Tongan District), Xiamen. First he ran supply and marketing, and then he was appointed as a designer with calligraphy and painting skills. 198 1 issued the document 1 on rural work, and agreed to rural household contract. 1983, Lin Zhiliang put forward the contract responsibility system and was elected as the factory director with the support of 98% workers in the factory.

After 1985, the country carried out reform and opening up and established Xiamen Special Economic Zone. Lin Zhiliang started with 4,000 yuan and founded Sanfu Pearl Rust Craft Factory with friends from Hong Kong, becoming the first Sino-foreign joint venture approved by China Administration for Industry and Commerce. In just a few years, Lin Zhiliang achieved an annual export value of 5 million US dollars, and his products were exported to 23 countries and regions, with more than 1 10,000 employees. Lin Zhiliang runs a kindergarten in the factory. Children who enter the kindergarten are free of tuition and snacks. Because of the extraordinary achievements in social and economic benefits, Jia Qinglin, then governor of Fujian Province, personally inspected Lin Zhiliang's factory and gave him a high degree of affirmation and encouragement.

Mencius said, "Heaven will take great responsibility for the people of Sri Lanka, and they will suffer from their will, strain their bones and muscles, starve their skin, empty their bodies and confuse their actions."

Lin Zhiliang's life also suffered serious setbacks when his career was in full swing. However, Lin Zhiliang, who practiced to the degree of "forgetting me", did not complain about others, but chose another way of life. He often goes out of Xiamen, worships Foshan, imitates famous temples, travels north and south, and makes countless friends with a brush and good handwriting, which is unique. During this period, Lin Zhiliang also became attached to the Buddha, China. Today, Lin Zhiliang has devoted himself to the practice of Buddhism.

The ups and downs of career and life have made him understand the truth that "the original is not one, and the inaction is promising". Lin Zhiliang said that the greatest gain in his life is that he has never given up his pursuit of calligraphy art after suffering from hardships in life. Now the most important task in life is to write Buddhist scriptures, build Buddhist temples, advocate calligraphy with Buddhism, promote compassion and help the world with calligraphy, and build the newly-built Luohan Mountain into a great cause with boundless merits and benefits for the people.
