Li Yuan, courtesy name Shude, was born in Chang'an and was the founding emperor of the Tang Dynasty in China. After Li Yuan's death, he was given the posthumous title of Emperor Taiwu and the temple name of Gaozu, and was buried in Xianling. In February of the thirteenth year of Tianbao, he was named Emperor Yao, Great Sage and Great Guangxiao.
