Several problems to be solved for beginners in calligraphy.

Some time ago, some parents asked me: "I feel that my child has made slow progress recently. What is the reason? " Calligraphy learning is a process of changing one's aesthetic and behavioral habits, which can cultivate one's patience, perseverance and other qualities. The learning process of calligraphy itself is the process of cultivating students' good habits. Only when students' behavior habits and other qualities are improved, their Chinese writing will have more obvious changes and progress. However, teachers and parents should seize the students' small progress in the learning process (first set a small goal), observe, guide and encourage with a magnifying glass, so that students' comprehensive quality can be comprehensively improved in the happy learning process. Don't ask students to train calligraphers. The purpose of calligraphy teaching is not to train calligraphers. Its purpose mainly includes the following aspects:

First of all, develop good behavior habits (educational function) such as patience and carefulness.

Second, guide students to write Chinese characters correctly (for practical purposes);

Third, the style of writing is graceful and generous (aesthetic function);

Four, feel the cultural heritage of China for thousands of years, and enhance national pride (social function).

It can be seen that practicing calligraphy and writing Chinese characters well is only one of the basic functions of calligraphy teaching.

To achieve good classroom teaching effect, it is necessary to constantly change classroom organization and teaching methods, fully mobilize students' various senses, and let them experience the charm of China's calligraphy from multiple angles. In class, students should move. The "movement" here is not students' aimless movement, but students' activities of experiencing Chinese characters, such as manual, eye movement and brain movement. Writing classroom teaching should guide students to understand the truth of life, learn to cooperate, learn to get along, learn to learn, and master the essentials of aesthetics.

The process of calligraphy teaching is colorful and monotonous. As a teacher, you should understand that only students like you will they be willing to learn what you teach. "Get close to his teacher and believe in his way." Therefore, teachers should pay attention to their teaching attitude and mentality. How to make students like you, like the subject knowledge you teach, and let me learn something different from what I want to learn. Many parents have asked me when is the best time for children to learn calligraphy? I want my children to learn early (4-6 years old), ok? In fact, before the age of 7, parents can mainly create a good space atmosphere for their children to infect them. When children are willing to write, they can doodle indefinitely, mainly to cultivate interest. After the age of 7, you can gradually master the essentials of writing, but you must never use the "model" of cultivating calligraphers to ask children to guide writing correctly and normatively. After the second grade, you can strengthen your mastery of structural methods and stroke writing. As long as the basic habits are formed, you don't have to worry about writing Chinese characters in your future work and study.

How to choose a calligraphy teacher for children? The choice of calligraphy teachers is extremely important. Some calligraphers write well by themselves, but they don't necessarily understand education. Calligraphy tutors children who don't understand education. Because I don't know the methods of education and psychological knowledge, it's easy to dilute children's interest in learning little by little, and have a feeling of being tired of learning. Teachers know education, but calligraphy is not necessarily comparable to professional calligraphers. If one's writing level is not enough, children will fall behind others from the beginning. Learning from others is the best, and learning from others is the worst. That's the reason. Therefore, it is the most difficult thing for parents to choose teachers for their children. It is advisable to walk more and ask more questions, not to be close and convenient, and to make a good choice for the child's start.

The phenomenon that "five plus two equals zero" refers to the ideological and moral education that students get in school for five days and only one weekend, and its effectiveness is completely lost because of some negative influences from society and family. Calligraphy teaching should also follow this principle. The habits formed in calligraphy class will be put aside after returning home, and parents can't supervise them to complete the training task, so parents will ask questions at the beginning.

As the saying goes: pay attention to reading. Writing well is only one of the purposes of learning calligraphy. There should be no quick success. Teachers should not only be satisfied with students' award certificates (as a tool to show off themselves), and parents should not be eager to master their children's basic skills. It is important for teachers and families to give children correct guidance and pay attention to the cultivation of children's comprehensive quality.

There are various ways for children to absorb knowledge, and there should be no fixed model for classroom teaching methods. Calligraphy teaching must understand this truth, don't use the old-fashioned accumulation of quantity to complete the teaching, rather lack than abuse, and the hand shape must conform to the law.

The improvement of calligraphy level and scientific skill training should be said to be all-round. Any problem that can't be solved in the training process will be exposed when creating, which is roughly the same as physical training. Those who think that "regular script is the basic skill", plus those who only attack Tang script, will have a serious blind spot in their training. The main key blind spots are:

1, cannot write continuously;

2. Writing is not fast;

3. Do not dare to use the contrast and thickness of large and small fonts to describe the pen shape;

4, can't write the ink level;

5, can't write well or can't write a twist pen;

6. Can't or dare not gather, disperse, open and close.

These blind spots are important core parts of calligraphy skills, or parts that must be strengthened in dynamic calligraphy (and also parts that must be trained in static calligraphy). This analysis is clear. Only attacking static fonts, often the skills of dynamic fonts are not fully trained; On the contrary, the technology of single attack on dynamic fonts and static fonts is a blind spot. The so-called all-round skill training should include both static and dynamic fonts (practice has proved that poor line writing and good regular script).

It should be emphasized that training is different from taking the method, and taking the method must be trained. For example, grass raiders write inscriptions to the training center, but they don't necessarily specialize in seal script. The attacker came to Wang Duo to make the pen fluent, but he didn't necessarily take the road of Wang Duo. Just like gymnasts practice high jump just to train their jumping ability. According to the different situations of different people, we should adopt corresponding training points to achieve the training purpose.

The blind area of training also includes other aspects. We see that some people can only write couplets, attend pen meetings in exhibitions and so on. And when they start to write couplets, if they are asked to write other styles, they will be immediately confused. There are also those who can only write big characters but not small ones, those who can't write banners and sectors, and so on. This is another phenomenon that there is a blind spot in training. Due to the limitation of space, I will not repeat it here.

Calligraphy works first show people's character, experience, understanding and pursuit of life and ideals. Calligraphy learning emphasizes the relaxation, moistening, gentleness, calmness and wildness of works. These qualities reflect personality, and personality determines fate. Learning calligraphy is a systematic project, and the cultivation of interests, habits and the expression of writing techniques are all problems that beginners need to solve, which cannot be achieved overnight.
