Yu Jie, a native of Suzhou City, Anhui Province, is currently a senior reporter of Xinhua News Agency and deputy editor-in-chief of Xinhua News Agency Anhui Branch. I like calligraphy and painting since I was a child. Since the early 1980s, he has studied under the famous calligrapher Li Bairen and the master of Chinese painting Xiao Longshi. Yu Jie learned painting in middle age for three reasons. First, from youth to middle age, Yu Jie has been studying calligraphy with Mr. Li Bairen, and has profound attainments in the study of ink line. Secondly, as a senior photojournalist of Xinhua News Agency, his photography skills are exquisite, which is conducive to painting. Thirdly, as early as the year when Mr. Xiao Longshi was in his prime, Yu Jie worshipped him as a teacher and learned a lot from him.
Yu Jie's paintings are set in nature, and there are many memories of the old Yellow River and memories of Fuchun Shan Ye. With the freehand brushwork of full paper ink, there is no lack of lotus rhyme and bird interest, and there are even more ancient people who drink alone at night. This website arranges its works into a series for netizens to enjoy.
