Lv Fengzi saw the ideal society that he yearned for and pursued all his life, and now it has become a reality under the leadership of the * * * Production Party. He was genuinely happy. 1953, he took the initiative to hand over all the "regular art colleges" to the people's government, leaving no articles at home.

In his later years, Mr. Lv Fengzi carefully carved two seals on his painting: "Today is the joy of life" and "Lao Zi Youlong" to show his lofty aspirations. He said: "This happiness was given to me by the selfless Producer Party and by Chairman Mao. How can I not thank him? I thank him. I love him, which means I love the sun. I love the sun. I want to draw the sun, the sun that people love, the light of the sun, and the heat of the sun until my hands are stiff and straight! "

Lv Fengzi was sickly in his later years, suffering from hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis and heart disease. Friends in the north asked him to paint for the leaders of the Party and state, such as,,, Dong, and Zhu De. He happily wrote letters and mailed them one by one, and also made portraits of Marx, Sun Yat-sen and Lu Xun to express his reverence for these great revolutionaries. 1959 In the summer, Mr. Lv Fengzi was trapped in a hospital bed with terminal lung cancer. On National Day, he was dying and had to be supported by his family. He drew three old pines, one of which was "Chairman Mao's Birthday", with a poem engraved on it: "Who is the real master of Chairman Mao? Isn't the chairman amazing? Poor communication becomes infinite. Who makes everything a miracle, the chairman is sacred-the chairman is not a god. He has never claimed to be a saint, but he is a metaphor of the past and the future, and everyone has been tempered by the past. If you don't grind the iron, you can emit different light and produce strange heat. The brighter the light, the stronger the heat. This is Chairman Mao admired by 650 million people. Chairman Mao's birthday, 1959 National Day, died in Suzhou, Lao Feng. " This is Mr. Feng's last words before his unfortunate death.

Mr Lv Fengzi is a great educator and artist. He worked hard all his life in the garden of art education, spread fragrance and devoted his life to the country and people, which will always be remembered.

Posterity evaluation

1909 After graduating from Liangjiang Excellent Normal School, Lv Fengzi founded the Shenzhou Academy of Fine Arts in Shanghai the following year. 19 12 donated property in Danyang to establish Danyang Zheng Zheng girls' school, and 1925 was changed to Zheng Zheng girls' vocational school. With the support of Chen Lifu, Zhang Lan and others, Xiao Shu founded the Jiangsu General Vocational School in Bishan County, Chongqing in 1938, and put it on record in the Ministry of Education in 1942, and formally established the General College. 1946 before returning to Jiangsu, all the school buildings were donated to the local government of Bishan to run schools. In the autumn of the same year, an ordinary school was rebuilt in Danyang, which was divided into four parts: ordinary primary school, ordinary middle school, ordinary vocational school and ordinary art college. 195 1 year, all regular schools were handed over to the people's government for public operation.

As early as the 1920s and 1930s before the founding of New China, Lv Fengzi enjoyed a high reputation. Xu Beihong, Zhang Daqian, Chen Zhifo, Fu Baoshi and Qian Songyan all spoke highly of his moral character and talent. Liu Haisu, Xu Beihong, Wu Guanzhong, Li Keran and other famous and accomplished artists in China modern art world all studied under him and were influenced by his art education and art.

Lv Fengzi's landscapes, flowers, birds and figure paintings are all exquisite, but the most important achievement is reflected in figure painting. The paintings of young and middle-aged ladies and poets, the paintings of Luohan after entering Shu, and the paintings that show the theme of people's life after the founding of the People's Republic of China are all different to him.

This period won a high reputation.

Lv Fengzi created a large number of paintings in his life. There are no fewer than 1000 works with the theme of pine trees, and nearly 2,500 works with the theme of Lohan were created in Bishan County during the Anti-Japanese War. If you add his best and most enduring paintings and poems of ladies, I'm afraid he has created more than thousands of works in his life. Lv Fengzi's painting creation is mainly for the needs of running a school and teaching. Most of his paintings are used for giving and selling, so as to win the cost of running a school from the society. Many of them are souvenirs created for students.

Through various channels, many of Lv Fengzi's works were scattered in private hands from the beginning of creation, and few of them were really preserved. At present, except Suzhou Museum, Huaiyin Museum and other cultural institutions, Danyang Archives (entrusted by family members) and Xiaoping and Ma Xiaofeng, most of them are scattered in private hands; The collection and research of Lv Fengzi's works by overseas public and private institutions is not very clear. This brings great difficulties to systematically carry out research work. However, there are hundreds of works with definite clues, and new paintings and written materials are constantly discovered, which also provides sufficient basic conditions for focusing on Lv Fengzi's painting art. Whatever the reason, it is a historical regret that such an important and outstanding artist has been neglected for a long time.

Since 1980s, the research, publication, exhibition and related commemorative activities of Lv Fengzi's paintings have gradually become active. Lv Fengzi Academic Research Association and Lv Fengzi Memorial Hall were established one after another, and research papers and works about Lv Fengzi were published from time to time, which further promoted Lv Fengzi's propaganda, research and commemoration activities. But so far, the research on Lv Fengzi, whether in depth, breadth or systematicness, can't be consistent with Lv Fengzi's position and role. I believe that with the gradual maturity of conditions, Lv Fengzi's artistic achievements will be more and more clearly presented to the world.
