Daji Mountain Northern Dynasties Cliff Carvings Attractions Introduction:

Daji Mountain is 478 meters above sea level. From the valley to the top of the mountain, there are 24 cliff carvings throughout the ages. Zheng Daozhao, the governor of Guangzhou in the Northern Wei Dynasty and a famous calligrapher, left 12 precious inscriptions on this mountain in 512 AD, all of which were carved on the steep cliffs in the mountain. The main inscriptions include "Poetry on Climbing Daji Mountain" and "Altar of the Zhongming Dynasty" etc., integrated with Zheng Daozhao's stone carvings in Yunfeng Mountain, and both are international calligraphy tourism lines. They receive about 600 Japanese calligraphy groups every year. In 1998, they were designated as national key cultural relics protection units by the State Council.

Daji Mountain, also known as Taoist Valley, has been a good place for Taoist priests and Taoist nuns to cultivate their moral character for thousands of years. There are still Taoist temples and monuments. Chuji once practiced here and left an inscription on the cliff of Xishan Mountain.
