Coupling Garden Attractions Introduction:

Coupling Garden is located in Xiaoxin Lane, Neicang Street, Suzhou City. It was originally built in the early Qing Dynasty. Lu Jin is involved in the garden. In the early Qing Dynasty, Lu Jin, the prefect of Baoning, came back from his official post and began to construct Sheyuan Garden here, known as Xiao Yulin. Later, it was rented by calligrapher Guo Fengliang. It was succeeded by Zhu's villa in Chongming. Around the 13th year of Tongzhi, Shen Bingcheng, the envoy to Huzhou, was returned to Huzhou and hired painter Gu _ to take charge of the renovation and expansion. Because there are two gardens in one house, it is called the Coupling Garden, which means that the couple can live together in seclusion. It was acquired by Changzhou industrialist Liu Guojun in 1941.

The layout of the whole garden is quite appropriate. As the theme of the whole garden, the Huangshi rockery is naturally stacked, well-located, steep, and majestic. It is one of the more successful Huangshi rockeries in Suzhou gardens. It is truly a place worth visiting. This garden is named Couple Garden because there is a garden on the east and west sides of the house. In ancient times, the two people farming were called "couples", and "couples" and "couples" were interlinked, which meant that the couple returned to the fields and lived in seclusion.

Coupling Garden is a cultural relic protection unit in Jiangsu Province and has been listed as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO.
