Is Sha Menghai a painter?
Sha Menghai (1900- 1992), a calligrapher, was originally named Wen Ruo, and his real name was Meng Hai, whose names were Shihuang, Shacun, Jueming and Lansha. People from Yinxian County, Zhejiang Province. [1] was born in a famous scholar's family. He was trained by the imperial court and learned seal cutting in his early years. He studied in Jintang School in Cixi and graduated from the Fourth Normal School in East Zhejiang [6]. During the period from 65438 to 0922, when Sha Menghai was a tutor in Shanghai, he was lucky enough to get in touch with masters such as Kang Youwei and Wu Changshuo, which had a great influence on Sha Menghai's calligraphy and seal cutting in the future. From 65438 to 0925, he taught in the Graphic Correspondence Society of the Commercial Press, during which he studied ancient literature under Feng and Chen Youhuai, which made him have a great understanding of art.
