(1) Horizontal
There are two types of horizontal painting: one is flat painting and the other is wave painting. Flat paintings have no wave potential and are in a horizontal posture; wave paintings are in the shape of "silkworm heads and swallow tails" with obvious undulations. Wave paintings are the easiest to express the characteristics of official script.
(2) Vertical
The brush strokes are the same as those in flat paintings, except that the direction of the strokes is changed from horizontal to vertical.
Enter the pen against the front, turn the front downward; draw the center forward to the end; raise the front and close the pen, or turn back slightly.
(3) Sketch
Sketch is also a very distinctive stroke in official script. Corresponding to the stroke, it stretches to the left and right to form a horizontal posture. These two strokes are very important to the official script. Meteorology and spirit play important roles.
When writing against the front, turn the front downward; when writing in the center, press forward gradually; when you reach the end, the stroke is recovered.
(4) Na
The brushing method of Na is basically the same as that of wave painting. The difference is that Na has an inclination of high left and low right, and the strokes of Na are lighter and choppy. Not obvious.
Start writing against the trend; stroke down to the right, gradually pressing; pause and then gradually lift the pen.
(5) Zhe
Zhe is a stroke that connects two paintings, and it only started to exist in official script. The folding method of official script is different from the folding method of regular script. Instead of pausing like regular script, fold the edge directly downward, or start a new pen and write separately.
The strokes are drawn in the same way as flat strokes; when you reach the turning point, lift the pen and turn the tip downward; turn the tip back and close the pen.
(6) Hook
Hook painting is divided into two categories: left hook and right hook. According to the size, it can be divided into horizontal hooks, vertical hooks, oblique hooks, folding hooks, etc. The hooks of official script are more special. They are not like the hooks of regular script and running script that are overturned and short. Instead, they are longer and flat, and have no hooks. The right hook is replaced by a pinch. There are many changes in hooks, and they can be used flexibly depending on their structural changes.
(7) Wave
Wave painting is an important feature of official script. The starting stroke is relatively heavy. To achieve a full and powerful effect, the finishing stroke must be pressed down first and then to the right. Only when you lift the pen to form a heavy silkworm head and a light swallowtail, with twists and turns, can you write a wave painting with ups and downs, giving people a special sense of beauty and visual enjoyment.
(8) Dots
The dots in official script are flexible and have different shapes in different positions. Some are sharper, some are rounder, and some are more round. long. The whole character is from heavy to light, which is exactly the opposite of regular script.
