Some friends may not know Qiu Zhenzhong. Member of Xiling Printing Society, professor and doctoral supervisor of Central Academy of Fine Arts, devoted to contemporary calligraphy education.
In a recent interview, his words caused great repercussions.
Reporter: You said that the contemporary calligraphy art is improving. Can you give me an example? Are there any contemporary calligraphers?
Qiu Zhenzhong: Mr. Wang, Mr. Lu and Mr. Sha Menghai are all masters, and they can all be written into the history of art.
Reporter: What about Mr. Qi Gong and Mr. Shen Peng? Their status seems controversial.
Qiu Zhenzhong: In my opinion, it can't reach the level of a master.
Why did Mr Qiu Zhenzhong make such an evaluation? Want to know why, but also look for answers from everyone's creative style.
Lu Sha Menghai 1.
In the Qing dynasty, the book world paid more attention to the tablet than to the post. After practice? It is found that the optical monument is difficult to go on and has too many limitations. In the end, everyone has formed * * * knowledge, and only by combining inscriptions can there be a way out.
The success of Mr. Sha Menghai and Mr. Lu depends on their achievements in the combination of inscriptions, their solid calligraphy skills and their strong integration of inscriptions, which gave birth to this vigorous style. If we want to find out the representative of the integration of inscriptions from contemporary famous artists, these two people are the only ones.
2. Lin Sanzhi.
On the other hand, Lin Sanzhi is different from the above two. Some people don't agree with Lin Sanzhi's cursive script, and evaluate that his calligraphy has no aesthetic feeling of traditional calligraphy. In fact, his calligraphy is very unique. Especially in the aspect of ink, his ink-using techniques were influenced by Huang, and he integrated the ink-using methods in painting into calligraphy. The ink rises thick without stagnation, and the dry pen is surrounded by clouds, which is natural and spontaneous and superb. His style makes his calligraphy more changeable. Although some people can't accept his style, we can't deny his innovation in using ink. From this point of view, he can really be called everyone.
3. Qigong
Some people disagree with Lin Sanzhi's cursive script. Some people don't like Sha Menghai's list. Gong Kai's running script, on the other hand, almost reached the state of being loved by everyone and was loved by the general public.
Professionally, Mr. Qi Gong was born in academic research, and calligraphy was just a hobby after study. I don't know if you have noticed that most calligraphers with academic background follow tradition more, just like Mr. Qi Gong. His "Qi Gong Ti" running script is full of rich book spirit.
What is unique about Mr. Qi Gong's calligraphy? The first thing to bear is the knot. Most calligraphy lovers have heard of the famous "golden section" method, which was initiated by Mr. Qi Gong. It is this unique knot that makes his calligraphy so popular. In contrast, his brushwork is not so outstanding. Generally speaking, Mr. Qi Gong has a great influence on contemporary calligraphy.
4. Shen Peng
I believe everyone has heard the story that Mr. Shen Peng doesn't like copywriting, probably because he doesn't like copywriting. Many strokes come from his own imagination, which makes his calligraphy pen full of personality, but lacks the witness of traditional calligraphy. Because of this, many calligraphy lovers don't agree with Mr. Shen Peng's calligraphy and think that his calligraphy is very different from traditional calligraphy. But his influence in today's book world is obvious to all, and we can't deny it. Even the formation of today's book style has a lot to do with him.
