Professional introduction to the School of Fine Arts, Dalian University

The art major is divided into two majors: normal and non-normal. There are currently 21 teachers and 228 students on campus. It has four professional sub-directions: Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, and ceramics. Training objectives: Master the basic theory, basic knowledge, basic skills and related comprehensive knowledge of fine arts, and cultivate students who can work in museums, art galleries, mass art galleries, art research institutes, enterprises and streets. Applied talents who carry out art creation, theoretical research and art education in offices, social groups, galleries, primary and secondary schools and other industries. With the improvement of people's quality of life, the requirements for cultural life and art appreciation are getting higher and higher, because art is a good carrier for people to improve their quality of life, and it is also an important part of improving people's cultural quality. Therefore, the art major is to adapt to the demand for art talents in different industries and spread culture and art in society.

Training model: Highlight the professional direction, and give full play to students' initiative, purpose and flexibility through new models of teaching management such as the credit system and tutorial system to cultivate and improve their professional quality and comprehensive application capabilities.

Main courses: knowledge and skills in Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, ceramics, art history, Chinese and foreign art history, art aesthetics, technique theory, color science and anatomy, composition, painting, photography , computer application, art education psychology, art education, calligraphy and seal cutting, ceramic art theory, history of Chinese ceramic art, etc. The art design major is divided into four professional directions: clothing art design, environmental art design, decorative art design, and new media design. Each professional direction has different training goals, training models, and course offerings. There are currently 29 teachers and 771 students in school. All universities implement four-year undergraduate education (basic academic system), and are awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree upon graduation.
