Zhang, male, Han nationality, from Gangu County, Gansu Province. Born in June, 1948, enlisted in July, 1965, in party member. He has served as a soldier, technician, deputy company commander, staff officer, deputy director, director, deputy director of military work research office, deputy director and director of Lanzhou Military Command Office, president and acting teacher of Military Work magazine, chief of staff and deputy commander of Gansu Military Region, secretary-general and deputy director of Gansu National Defense Mobilization Committee, and the rank of major general. Zhang loved calligraphy since he was a child and often dabbled in the ink sea after work.
