In calligraphy works, words are not unrelated and isolated from each other, but are interrelated organic whole, so we must pay attention to qi. The infiltration of regular script is mainly reflected in three aspects: first, it depends on the infiltration of lines. The so-called line here is not the thread of running script, but the central axis. As we all know, every line has an invisible central axis, and every word also has an invisible central axis. If the central axis of each word coincides with the central axis of a line, it is easy to breathe; On the other hand, it is not easy to breathe. The second is the potential connection. That is to say, the last stroke of the last word returns to the front, and the first stroke of the next word returns to the front, and the potential is secretly connected, so that the words echo each other from a distance by the strokes of the upper and lower strokes, that is, by the stroke direction, line, posture elevation, pen meaning flow between words, and the virtual reality between lines. The third depends on proficiency. Skilled writing is a prerequisite for regular script. Before writing, the old mouth and right hand will hurt the chest, and when writing, it will be a journey, so that the written works can be recited and can only be scattered.
Second, the density of virtual reality.
Composition is also called white cloth. The so-called white cloth is a reasonable blank space. In calligraphy, black and white are relative. In a single word, the pen is black and the blank between strokes is white; From the whole word, every word is black, and the space between words is white; For the whole paper,
Occasionally, the space occupied by writing is black, and the "sky" above and the "ground" below are white. In a sense, if you don't know the density, you don't know how to write regular script. From the perspective of fonts, small characters should be sparse and large characters should be dense; In terms of amplitude, long scrolls should be sparse and banners should be dense; From the whole article, the secret is dense, and the sparse is sparse. If the line spacing is wide, the word spacing should also be wide; If the line spacing is narrow, the word spacing should be sparse, which is the general composition law. "Sparse places can be covered with dense places, and there is no ventilation" is a special law of composition. But without superhuman courage and skill, you must not take risks easily, which will be self-defeating. Writing regular script is the most expensive, and it is both true and false, and the density is appropriate. Sparse place should be dense, sparse place should be dense. The front can't be secret, and the back can't float. This is the taboo of the rules.
Third, there are changes.
Change is the essence of regular script. If a word doesn't change at all, it's boring. Sun is in the Book Score? Preface says; If you violate it, don't commit it. Be different. "These eight words are the minimum requirements for cursive writing, and can also be regarded as the benchmark rules for regular script writing. The so-called "violation without committing a crime" means that the shape will change when the structural characteristics are consistent. For example, Yan Zhenqing's words are mainly founder, and the words are long or short; Wang Xizhi's words are mainly long, but they are also square or horizontal. In short, in an article, there should be big and small, long and short, or straight and wide or narrow, so as to achieve "several paintings at the same time, with different shapes; All the points are on the same line, which is good for each other, but the whole is wrong, symmetrical and harmonious. The so-called "harmony but difference" means that the brushwork should be rich on the premise of homology. The tone of the same regular script work should be consistent, just like a song should have a tone, a painting should have a tone, and never make a big platter. But tone doesn't mean you can only use monotonous brushwork. On the contrary, pens must be ever-changing We see that Wang Xizhi, Yan Zhenqing and Wang Xing use regular script pens, which are hidden or exposed, light or heavy, square and round, curved and straight, and have strong ability to change.
Fourth, focus on the overall situation.
