(232-300) Scholars and poets in the Western Jin Dynasty. Maoxian was born in Fangcheng, Xiangyang (now south of Gu 'an County, Hebei Province). When I was a teenager, I was good at literature and history and read widely. During the reign of Emperor Wu of the Jin Dynasty, he was named Hou for cutting Wu Yougong and held an important position. Later, because they did not participate in their usurpation activities, they killed Sima Lun and Sun Xiu of Zhao. He studied and memorized extensively and wrote ten volumes of natural history. There are more than 30 poems preserved today, which are monotonous in content, gorgeous in form, mild in style, with little change and low overall achievement.
