This is to tell everyone that you must read it. Know your reality and don’t be complacent.
As a famous traitor in the Southern Song Dynasty, Qin Hui killed Yue Wumu, who served the country loyally, on unfounded charges. Of course, Zhao Gou was also involved. Although Yue Fei was later rehabilitated, it did not help. Moreover, after Yue Fei was rehabilitated, Qin Hui was dead and dismissed from office.
Since then, Qin Hui’s descendants have been mediocre, and it was not until the Qing Dynasty that things changed. A descendant of Qin Hui passed to Qin Dashu, whose ancestral home was Dangtu, Anhui. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, the world was in chaos. Qin Yinghu, the grandfather of Master Qin, moved his family to Jiangning to escape the disaster. His father, Qin Youlun, had seven sons, and he was the second.
Master Qin showed outstanding talent when he was a child and could write articles at the age of ten. He was well-known in the local area at a young age and supported his family by relying on his good calligraphy. He passed the imperial examination at the age of 28. In the seventeenth year of Qianlong's reign (1752), he was selected as the number one scholar by Emperor Qianlong's royal pen.
But because he was a descendant of Qin Hui, Emperor Qianlong was worried about disgracing the reputation of the court. So he personally summoned Master Qin and asked, "Are you a descendant of Qin Hui?" Master Qin lay on the ground, sweating like rain, not knowing how to answer. If you tell the truth, it will be detrimental to your future. If you deny it, it will be a crime of deceiving the emperor and even more disrespectful to the ancestors.
At the critical moment of life and death, Master Qin mustered up the courage to speak loudly: "Your Majesty, there are emperors and ministers in one dynasty. Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty was a foolish king, and he used treacherous ministers, but you are a wise king, and you naturally used loyal ministers!" Master Qin is truly a talented man with extraordinary wit. As soon as this statement came out, it was passed down to future generations. Emperor Qianlong was delighted with Long Yan and admired his extraordinary talent and intelligence, and immediately appointed Master Qin as the 43rd number one scholar in the Qing Dynasty.
After becoming the top scholar in high school, Master Qin went to West Lake in Hangzhou to pay homage to Yue Fei in order to save the royal family's reputation and change people's views on Qin's descendants for hundreds of years. In front of Yue Fei's tomb, I saw the statue of Qin Hui and his wife, with their hands tied behind their backs, and they were kneeling here.
Master Qin pondered for a moment and wrote a famous sentence that has been passed down through the ages: "Since the Song Dynasty, people have been ashamed to be named Hui, and when I go to the grave, I am ashamed to be named Qin." This quatrain is sincere and has a clear stance. Master Qin was an honest official throughout his life and dedicated his life to benefiting the people. As a result, people changed their views on Master Qin and re-established the credibility of the Qin family.
