Calligraphy major is good for employment, provided that you have enough strength. You can start your own business even if you don't work in a school or unit. As long as you write well, you don't have to worry about employment. But then again, calligraphy is not only writing, but also a kind of cultural accomplishment, which needs comprehensive cultural knowledge and life experience as the foundation.
