The fifth calligraphy experience: the sharp edges and corners of "sword" and "knife" in strict regular script

The fifth part [calligraphy experience]

? "Sword Skirt" and "Holding Knife" in Yan Style Regular Script

? Mu? great

How to understand Yan Zhenqing's regular script Zuo Rujian and Zhi Rudao? Look carefully, Yan Zhenqing's left hand (generally refers to the long hand) is inclined and straight, and the light lifting when closing the pen makes the "left end" form a tip shape (as shown in figure 1).

Generally, the long hair on the face is straight and forms a sword shape. If the end of long hair is too curved, it is not a "sword" but a Japanese knife (as shown in Figure 2).

The pen length should not be too sharp, which is also one of the strict styles. When you close it, you should lift it gradually, and you should not suddenly pull it down to the left. If you pull it too sharply to the left, it will appear impetuous and powerless. The "sharp" formed by too sharp will weaken the "blade" and fail to highlight the rigid and flexible style (Figure 3).

Yan Zhenqing's Si is like a machete, and its outstanding style is "blade knife" (as shown in Figure 4). It cannot be written (as shown in Figure 5). If there are no edges and corners, it will become "The Lancet", which is by no means the style of Yan Ti.
