Jiang Yinqiu's Experience

If Chen Yi's visit to Zhou Shoujuan was targeted, then the famous Suzhou calligrapher Jiang Yinqiu was completely discovered by Chen Yi. 1964, the central government collected the writing of the memorial to the martyrs of Huaihai Campaign nationwide, and Chen Yi selected Mr. Jiang Yinqiu's official script among many contributions from famous calligraphers all over the country. When Mr. Jiang Yinqiu wrote this great inscription, he created simplified Chinese characters, which made the traditional official script calligraphy innovative and full of rich flavor of the times. Mr. Jiang Yinqiu was deeply impressed by Chen Yi's cordial reception. Whenever he recalls this experience, he is always extremely excited. Chen Yi once praised Jiang Yinqiu's inscription on the Huaihai Campaign Martyrs Monument, Zhou Shoujuan's bonsai art and Suzhou gardens as the "Three Treasures of Suzhou".
