Where is the Ganzhou District Museum?

Ganzhou District Museum is located in Zhangye Buddha Temple, a national key cultural relic protection unit. It is a national second-class museum. Founded in198665438+February, it is under the Ganzhou District Cultural Committee. It is a Buddhist art museum integrating architecture, statues, sculptures, paintings, calligraphy, Buddhist scriptures, classics and historical relics. There are six functional departments including office, security department, business department, financial office, property management department and reception department, with 53 employees. The museum covers an area of more than 30,000 square meters, with a building area of 6,957 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 1663 square meters. The collection contains 4 pieces of various cultural relics1011from the Neolithic Age to the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The collection includes gold, silver, jade, copper, iron, porcelain and pottery, coin seals, folk furniture, calligraphy and painting, sculptures and Buddhist scriptures. Among them, the 34.5-meter-long wooden-tire clay sculpture reclining Buddha in the Great Buddha Temple ranks first in Asia, and the 6 152 volume "The Three Monks of Daming, the Holy Jiao and the Northern Zang" is the most complete first-edition printed Buddhist scripture in China, and the 558 volumes of the golden edition "Prajna Sutra" have been identified as national treasures, all of which have high historical, cultural, scientific and artistic values. It receives nearly 400,000 tourists every year.
