What's so special about Ni's calligraphy?
In the eyes of future generations, Ni is not only a loyal martyr, but also a master of calligraphy and painting with a unique style. The calligraphy and painting introduced here is a typical embodiment of his artistic attainments. This roll of paper is 25 cm high and 332 cm long. The first half is a five-character ancient poem written in the running script "Pan Gu Yin for Fan Zhigong's Rites", 17 lines, and the second half is painted with an inkstone. Before the volume, there are two passages that inherit the seal script Gong Shi Hua Juan and Huang Daozhou's running script Yan Qi Hong Gui, and after the volume, there are seven passages inscribed by Helan Jing, Jin, Chen, Chen Cengshou, Zhu Xiaocang, Yu, Xia Jingguan and Chen during the Republic of China. Outside the volume, the title is Zhao Shuru's running script "Collection of Paintings and Calligraphy of Ni Ming and Zheng Wen". This volume is recorded in Chen Zhuo's "Xiang Guan Zhai Yu I" Volume 4. The book has detailed descriptions and textual research on the texture, painting and calligraphy contents, seals and He Lanjing's inscription and postscript. In the Republic of China, it was collected by Yao and Jin wrote seven poems at Yao's request. In this book, Helanjing and Yao both agree with Tibet and India in many ways.
