From an artistic point of view, is the Preface to the Lanting Pavilion a masterpiece or is it really beautiful?

Preface to Lanting Collection was written by Wang Xizhi at the age of 33. At the beginning of March of the lunar calendar that year, the spring was bright, and Wang Xizhi and more than forty scribes got together in Yinshan Lanting Garden in Huiji County. When drinking, all the scribes are full of poetry. Wang Xizhi is good at calligraphy. He was drunk, took the silkworm paper and moustache pen, and wrote a famous poem "Preface".

The whole article has 28 lines, 324 words and about 6 wipes. The book is charming and vigorous, natural and unique, exquisite and gorgeous, reaching a very high artistic level.

No matter from artistry, or writing, or the difficulty of writing has reached a high level. With the progress of calligraphy and the deepening of research, the more I can feel or analyze the beauty of the Preface to Lanting. Or it can be said that the appreciation of Preface to Lanting is the standard measure to judge a person's calligraphy level.

There are 20 characters "Zhi" in Preface to Lanting Collection, which have the same structure and charm.

Wang Xizhi woke up from a hangover and was very satisfied with it. Later, he wrote dozens more books, but it was never as wonderful as that one. The reason why he can't copy his own works is because of the word "zhi" which has been altered several times and has different brushwork.

The brushwork can be remembered, but the writing strength of the smeared place can't be remembered. Looking at other manuscripts, we can see that there are few traces of smearing. Although this book is fluent, it has lost the layout and charm of the original.

Wang Xizhi's works are atmospheric, generous, rigorous and light in structure, which are worthy of calligraphy.

/kloc-For 0/700 years, Wang Xizhi's Preface to the Lanting Pavilion has never been surpassed, precisely because of its exquisite scribbling and mysterious calligraphy. It has reached a height that future generations can never surpass. Just like Mount Everest, it is impossible to reach the peak just by looking up.

Therefore, in calligraphy, all famous people in later generations, such as "Yan Liu Ou Zhao", just had an epiphany, just learned a little trick and brushwork from Wang Xizhi's Blue, and then carried it forward. No one can ever overshadow or surpass Wang Xizhi. Just like a passage summarized by Xiang Mu, a great calligrapher in Ming Dynasty, it means: Zhi Yong, Yu Shinan, Ou Yangxun, Chu Suiliang, Yan Zhenqing, Liu Gongquan, Zhang Xu, Huai Su, Sun and so on.

To some extent, Wang Xizhi's calligraphy and Preface to Lanting are the mother and root of China's calligraphy.
