A Brief Introduction to the Complete Works of China's Calligraphy

There are three kinds of home rolls: Class A rolls are single-person rolls; Class B papers are made by two or four people; Class C papers belong to many people, and many people in a certain generation.

Except the preface and the general catalogue, the contents of each volume of this book are classified according to two types of filing styles. Dating volumes include: page selection of original color artifacts or rubbings, introduction and monographs, plates of works, textual research and interpretation of plates, chronology, schematic diagram of unearthed artifacts and works distribution, main reference books and documents, tables and catalogues, etc. Calligraphers' volumes include: portrait of calligrapher (Volume A), primary color calligraphy posts or selected pages of primary color works, biographies and monographs of calligraphers, introduction to dating calligraphy (Volume C), illustrations of works, textual research of works, selected notes of calligraphers' posts, calligraphers' chronology, sketch map of calligraphers' whereabouts, main cited bibliography and bibliography.

The calligraphers attached to the A-type calligrapher's volume are relatives and disciples of their own family, so as to clearly analyze their mutual influence.

The attached yarn compilation includes: China calligraphy chronology (with name index and works index), a brief history of minority calligraphy, a brief history of overseas calligraphy and a brief history of Four Treasures of the Study.

Addendum consists of several volumes, which classify the important works that cannot be accommodated or omitted in the process of book compilation.

The schematic diagrams in each volume of this book are based on the Atlas of Chinese History edited by Tan Qixiang.

This book is all typeset in traditional Chinese characters to avoid mistakes in similarities and differences between ancient and modern characters.
