Among these thousands of characters, many are distinctive and distinctive, but who is the most distinctive? Mao Zonggang, a Qing Dynasty man, gave the answer when reading The History of the Three Kingdoms. He believes that the Three Kingdoms have three unique skills, namely, Zhuge Liang's wisdom, Guan Yu's righteousness and Cao Cao's treachery. So, are these three unique statements consistent with the characters in real history? Who is the most consistent and who is the most ridiculous? Let's analyze them one by one.
Zhuge Liang: It is said that Zhuge Liang is a unique intellectual in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which is consistent with the image in the book, but it cannot be said to be completely consistent in the official records. During the Three Kingdoms period, Zhuge Liang was indeed an outstanding politician, strategist, writer, calligrapher and inventor, and undoubtedly a person with super high IQ. There are countless achievements in his life. However, its image was exaggerated in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, so that Mr. Lu Xun said that "the wisdom of Kong Ming is almost demon", which is obviously not in line with the historical truth.
In fact, at that time, there were many people with super-high IQ like Zhuge Liang, including Cao Cao, Guo Jia, Pang Tong, Yang Xiu, Sima Yi and others. Everyone can compete with Zhuge Liang, and some people may even be smarter than Zhuge Liang, but they were alienated in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms or their deeds were not as brilliant as Zhuge Liang, so Zhuge Liang was recognized by Mao Zonggang as "an intellectual genius". This title is more than 50% consistent with its historical records.
Guan Yu: Guan Yu is said to be honest, which is quite consistent with his image in history. Mao Zonggang identified Guan Yu as a "righteous man", which should have the greatest relationship with his "riding a thousand miles" back to Liu Bei and Huarong Road to release Cao Cao privately. It is recorded in the biography of the Three Kingdoms Guan Yu that "riding a thousand miles alone". "It was the feather that killed Yan Liang, and Tsao knew he would go, so he was rewarded again. Feather thanked him, said goodbye to Shu En, and ran to Yuan Jun first. The left and right sides wanted to chase him, and Cao Gong said,' Each has his own master, so don't chase him.' "This kind of behavior of giving up high officials and being generous and wholeheartedly following the wandering Liu Bei is really not something that everyone can do.
As for Guan Yu's private release of Cao Cao in Huarong Road to repay his kindness, this is inconsistent with historical records. After Cao Cao's defeat at Chibi, he did pass Huarong Road when he fled, but Guan Yu did not stop Cao Cao at Huarong Road. The brotherhood of Guan Yu, Liu Bei and Zhang Fei is really rare in history, and it is the most typical representative of half-brothers. Therefore, Guan Yu's name of "a unique skill" is in line with his true image in history.
Rape Cao Cao: To say that Cao Cao is a traitor is actually very different from the real Cao Cao in history. As the most outstanding politician, strategist, writer and calligrapher in the Three Kingdoms period, Cao Cao made great achievements in his life. The so-called "treachery" naturally refers to Cao Cao's treachery, mainly because in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Cao Cao did do something that harmed others and benefited himself. He killed the Lv Boshe family by mistake. After knowing that he had killed the wrong person, he not only refused to repent, but also threw out a sentence that made people itch, that is, "Better die than die!" . In addition, stories such as "killing people in dreams" and "killing grain officials to fill the masses" further aggravated his treacherous impression.
The statement that Cao Cao killed Lv Boshe's family in Historical Records is controversial. There is no record of this in Chen Shou's The History of the Three Kingdoms and Emperor Wudi. In Shu Wei, he said: "Cao Cao rode his old friend Gao and Lv Boshe with several people;" When Bosch was away, his son and his guests robbed Taizu, took horses and took things, and Taizu killed several people by hand. " Esperanto says: "Mao lives in luxury." Bo luxury travel, Wu Liuyi is there, preparing for the guest ceremony. Mao carried him behind his back, suspecting that he wanted to kill himself, and killed eight people with his sword at night. "Miscellaneous Notes" said, "Mao heard the sound of his food container, thinking that he wanted to save himself, so he killed it at night. Then he said sadly, "I'd rather be negative than negative!" " Go ahead. "Thus, the truth of this matter is more elusive, true and false, and it is not good to characterize Cao Cao's behavior.
The victims in Cao Cao's dream are mainly recorded in Romance of the Three Kingdoms, but not in historical materials. As for the story that Cao Cao killed Dong Wang, a grain official, to appease the morale of the army because of the lack of food in the army, there is no record in the historical materials. To sum up, most of Cao Cao's treachery is described in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and the basis in historical materials is not sufficient, but the name of his treachery should not be completely vilified, but it should not be so excessive. Therefore, Cao Cao's name of "traitor" is not quite consistent with his true image in history.
As can be seen from the above analysis, Mao Zonggang's "Three Musts" are mainly based on the performances of Zhuge Liang, Guan Yu and Cao Cao in The Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The first two are generally close to the historical image, but Cao Cao is far from his historical image.
