Four-style calligraphy is one of the earliest and most reliable important calligraphy theory, which has high historical value. Most information about the evolution and history of various calligraphy styles at that time, as well as the situation of some calligraphers' representatives, depends on the preservation of this book. The "four books" are divided into: ancient prose, seal script, official script and cursive script. This paper discusses the origin and heritage of these four calligraphy styles and evaluates them. The praise of his seal script was written by Cai Yong; The cursive script Shi Zan was written by Cui Yuan. Wei Heng wrote both the latent praise of ancient Chinese characters and the latent praise of official script.
