1, Dragon Boat Festival also has the traditional custom of sending fans.
Sending fans during the Dragon Boat Festival was advocated by Emperor Taizong.
According to the book Tang Yaohui written by wang pu, the prime minister and historian of the Northern Song Dynasty, it is customary to give gifts on the fifth day of May in the eighteenth year of Zhenguan (AD 644). Emperor Taizong personally wrote two fans and gave them to two important ministers, Sun Chang Wuji and Yang Shidao. Emperor Taizong said that he chose this gift because fans can "change the wind and increase virtue." It is called fan by breeze and benevolence wind, or it is called breeze and benevolence wind by fan. Emperor Taizong's idea comes from the allusion of "Xie An gave a fan" in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
Fan and "good" are homonyms and homologous. The fan culture and the traditional custom of sending fans on the Dragon Boat Festival are aimed at advocating that we hold folding fans, never forget our ancestors, be kind in heart, be kind to others, and respect virtue for goodness.
2. Pay attention to wedding fans
In ancient times, people regarded "six" as an auspicious number, and overlapping two sixes would naturally bring good luck to their children. Therefore, many folk families choose June 6 as the engagement date.
There is still an ancient and time-honored custom in my hometown. On June 6th, parents, uncles, aunts and other family members of any family whose daughter has been married for less than a year should prepare some gifts such as cattail leaf fans to visit her home, which is called "sending fans" by the locals.
However, sending fans is limited to June 6 of the first year after the daughter's marriage, and there is no need to send them after June 6. As the saying goes, "This is just talk. A good job for a mother to look after her daughter. " Besides, it's dog days at this time, and the weather is hot and unbearable. The family is distressed by their daughter, and sending fans is actually sending coolness.
