It is regarded as the ancestor of Ci Fu, which created a "Sao" style of poetry in the history of China literature and has a far-reaching influence on later generations. Throughout the ages, admiring Qu Yuan's personality spirit, literati created countless calligraphy works with Qu Yuan and his Ci and Fu as the theme, or chanted his loyalty to his motherland; Or eulogize his independence, or write the magnificence of his ci.
Li Sao is a magnificent political lyric poem and a masterpiece of Qu Yuan. Its appearance represents the highest artistic achievement of "Chu Ci" and occupies an important position in the history of Chinese poetry.
The interpretation of the poem Li Sao has always been inconsistent. Sima Qian's Historical Records Biography of Qu Yuan and Jia Sheng said: "Those who leave Sao are still away from worry." He interpreted "SAO" as "worry", but there was no solution to the word "Li". Ban Gu's Preface to Li Sao Zan said: "Li. It' s still awkward. Worry also. I know that I have been worried about as a speech. "
