Pang Zhonghua, the first person in hard pen calligraphy, why is the scenery no longer there?

Due to the change of the times, people pursue rapid life development, especially because everyone has a mobile phone now. Pang Zhonghua's calligraphy was slowly misunderstood.

1. Pang Zhonghua's past calligraphy

Mr. Pang Zhonghua's hard-pen calligraphy training in China is "the first person". Since the upsurge of hard-pen calligraphy appeared in China in1980s, it has spread from the north to the south, and the title of "Pang Zhonghua" reached its peak in1990s. Just entering the middle school campus, like many calligraphers, I chose Pang Zhonghua's copy and entered the field of calligraphy hard pen. More than a year has passed, and the result is amazing. Although it has little impact on our campus. However, with the broadening of vision, not all hard-pen calligraphers worship Pang Zhonghua, and his calligraphy level is gradually being disputed. As the person in charge of my research on hard pen calligraphy, I have no intention to evaluate Pang Zhonghua's calligraphy level, nor do I want to think that Pang Zhonghua's calligraphy is as bad as most people say. The standard of hard pen calligraphy in Pang Zhonghua is beautiful and easy to use. If beginners practice hard-pen calligraphy, Pang Zhonghua's copybook is actually a good choice. Usually, learning hard-pen calligraphy from Pang Zhonghua is very effective, and being an entry-level model is undoubtedly misleading.

2. The dispute of Pang Zhonghua's calligraphy.

Of course, Pang Zhonghua's hard-pen calligraphy is controversial about the artistic inheritance of specific calligraphy techniques and calligraphy aesthetics. Compared with famous hard-pen calligraphers (such as, Ren Ping, Xie), controversy is not unfair. This debate also extended infinitely to the legal status of the two most influential calligraphy groups at that time. Pang Zhonghua was led by the former "China Hard Pen Calligraphy Association", and "Our Days", which became the world of hard pen calligraphy, also succumbed to the "invasion" unrelated to art. Later, due to the popularity of computers and mobile phones, hard pen calligraphy could no longer reproduce the glory of that year. Looking back now, many hard-pen calligraphy lovers are still very embarrassed.

3. Advice for beginners

Objectively speaking, Pang Zhonghua's copybook is still suitable for beginners to learn. However, for friends who already have a good knowledge of calligraphy or want to learn more calligraphy, they still choose copybooks with more traditional details or classic practice methods.
