Some calligraphy works do not record the writing time, while others record the writing time. Ancient calligraphers generally used the year name of the dynasty or the year name, stems and branches, seasons and months in combination.
There are basically two methods used in modern times, namely the Gregorian calendar and the stem and branch calendar.
The Gregorian calendar uses the AD year number. Like your calligraphy signature, you can write it like this:
1. Written by so-and-so on May 3, 2012 (generally not the month and day when noting the time, if there are specific needs, Add date)
2. In May 2012, so-and-so was written by so-and-so
3. In 2012, so-and-so was written by so-and-so in Meng Xia Some (in addition to Mengxia, you can also use Si month, Yu month, Zhong Lu, early summer, Mai month, Huai month, Xia Shou, Xin Xia, Mei month, etc.)
4. Two thousand and one hundred and twenty years Huai The month so-and-so was written by so-and-so (this is written according to the reading method)
The stem and branch chronology is the traditional chronology of our country. Like your calligraphy signature, you can write it like this:
1. Written by so-and-so in the year of Renchen (only use the year)
2. In the early summer of Renchen, so-and-so When something is written in a certain year (year plus season), in addition to early summer, you can also use Mengxia, Si month, Yu month, Zhonglu, Mai month, Huai month, Xia Shou, Xin Xia, Mei month, etc.
3. In April of the Renchen year (or: Jiachen month of the Renchen year), so-and-so was written in such-and-such (year plus month)
4. Early summer of Renchen In the month of Jiachen, so-and-so was written in such-and-such (year plus season plus month, this method is not commonly used)
5. On the two days before the beginning of summer in the Renchen year, so-and-so was written in so-and-so (year Add festivals and solar terms)
