The so-called self-learning ability, if summed up in one sentence, is to hear your own piano. Maybe some piano friends will find it strange: can't you hear your own pop-up sound when playing the piano? Then you might as well try to record yourself playing the piano. I think most piano friends (especially beginners) will be surprised: why is it so different from my feeling of playing the piano?
So, when you play the piano by yourself, do you really have feelings for music? At least as far as many piano friends I have contacted are concerned, their understanding of playing the piano is only to show the fingering characters on the piano one by one. It is obvious that they have no music in their hearts. Whether you have music in your heart is the most important sign of your self-study ability.
How can a person who loves music have no music in his heart? But the paradox of guqin is that many people decide to learn guqin, not because they think its music is good, but because guqin represents a kind of elegance. Hiding a piano at home and playing a few musical words that laymen can't understand at leisure is enough to prove that their cultivation is extraordinary. Of course, I don't deny that some piano friends like guqin music because they agree with its elegance. Once I meet such a piano friend, I hope I can do my best to let him know what the charm of guqin music is. But this is enough to show that not all musicians have music in their hearts; For beginners, if you can't let yourself have music at first, it will be difficult to make great progress.
The next question is, what does it mean to have music in your heart? Do you want to remember some music theories, or do you want to practice basic music skills such as solfeggio? Of course, these can't be said to be unimportant, but they can't be said to be the origin of music. I think that if you have music in your heart, you must be able to reproduce the flow of music in your heart-you can't sing Dolemi, but you should be able to hum the melody of music. Even if you can't sing, when you don't listen to music, you can reproduce the melody of a song in your mind, that is, you must have a memory of music. It's just like copying calligraphy or reciting poetry. If you only know how to copy copybooks one by one, or can only read poems, it will be difficult to create first-class works. Therefore, in this sense, listening is much more important than playing in the process of learning piano.
When I first started to learn piano, Mr. Pei Jinbao used the most traditional teaching method: he played one sentence and I followed, so he finished learning the music sentence by sentence. At that time, Mr. Pei often surprised me at the speed of learning music, but I felt normal myself. Later, after watching a younger brother play the piano, I had some reflections-if I remember faster than others, there is only one reason: I remember the melody of the song itself, not a single fingering or notation. The subtle differences of fingering characters can be adjusted quickly, but if you only recite one fingering word after another when learning the piano, the speed of learning the piano will be very slow. Even if you barely remember, what pops up is often just a combination of single fingers, not coherent music.
Of course, under the condition that the memory of music is accurate as a whole, there are some differences in details, such as priorities, as long as it conforms to the rules of music; And with the increase of my own experience, the places I go in and out will gradually transform into my own characteristics, so that music will also transform into my own music. This is a necessary process, and it is precisely because of this process that the piano music you play is truly personalized music, which is different from the simulation of physical size and the intangible shortage rate.
Memory itself is not music. Only by repeatedly savoring one's musical memory with one's own emotions can one truly have the music in one's heart. And when you have music in your heart, you will find that the purpose of all your efforts is just to convert the music in your heart to the piano. In this process, you will naturally realize what your shortcomings are, and think about why the kung fu in your hand does not convey the music in your heart. In this way, your study will have a certain direction. No matter which teacher you study with, you have the ability to judge what the teacher can teach you. At the same time, with the improvement of my vision, I can gradually know what kind of guqin music I need.
