Brief introduction of Wu Xizai
Wu Xizai was born in 1799 and died in 1870. His original name is Yang Ting, and his words are full of joy. 50 years later, he gave it a name with a line character, and he also made a big fuss. He tried to call himself Qin Weng, a late scholar and Fang Lin's husband. Yizheng, Jiangsu, was a seal engraver and painter in Qing Dynasty. When he was young, he became a great calligrapher of Deng School and a disciple of seal engraving Jia Bao. Wu Xizhai is Deng who studies seal script and official script, and Bao who studies running script and regular script. The greatest achievement of calligraphy is seal script. His seal script draws lessons from Deng's dignified and vigorous style, and understands it by himself, making it more elegant and stretching, combining rigidity with softness, and rigorous statutes. Although Wu Xizai's calligraphy skills are deep, he is too bound by his teachers to create his own style. He is the author of Modern Interpretation of Tongjian Geography. The greatest achievement in my life is seal cutting. With the essence of Deng, I can catch up with the seal of China. In his later years, the knife was transported to a better state. At that time, when the last habits of Zhejiang School flooded the printing altar, Deng School of Huizhou School was pushed to a new realm, which had a great influence on the printing altar in the late Qing Dynasty. Wu Xizai carved tens of thousands of editions in his life, but many of them didn't have any money, resulting in a small circulation.
