Zhijiang surrender memorial workshop is located in Qiliqiao village, 3.5km away from Zhijiang county. It was originally the Qunli Auditorium of the Kuomintang Air Force Command. In August 1945, Japan declared its unconditional surrender, and the Kuomintang government held a surrender ceremony here from August 21st to 23rd. Zhijiang Memorial Workshop is the only building in China to commemorate the victory of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, which was built in February 1946. It is a symbol of the victory of China people's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, an important historical witness of the victory of the world anti-fascist war, and one of the six Arc de Triomphe in the world (Rome, Berlin, Milan, Paris, Zhijiang and Pyongyang).

"The surrender of Zhijiang" declared the complete failure of the Japanese invaders and wrote a glorious page of China's first complete victory against foreign invasion in modern history. In 1985, the Zhijiang County People's Government approved the restoration and opening up of the workshop. In 1995, the exhibition hall commemorating the victory of the Anti-Japanese War was expanded and built. Former site of surrender: Built in 1938, it consists of three fish-scale double-deck wooden bungalows: the surrender venue, the Chinese Army General Command and the He Yingqin office. With a building area of 1,5 square meters, it is divided into two floors. There are three exhibition halls in the museum, namely "Eight Years' Anti-Japanese War", "China's Surrender" and "Never Forget History". There are 214 cultural relics from World War II, 291 photos, charts and telegrams, and a batch of weapons from China, the United States, Britain, the Soviet Union, Germany, Czech Republic, France and Japan during World War II. The display of cultural relics is precious, the information is complete and the letter is unique, which can be called the "Anti-Japanese History Expo Hall" in China.
