"If two kinds of feelings last for a long time, it will be sooner or later." Such affectionate words were written by Qin Guan, a poet in the Northern Song Dynasty, whose hometown is Gaoyou in Yangzhou today.
Gaoyou is a world heritage city and a national historical and cultural city.

It is the hometown of folk songs in China, poetry in China and stamp collecting in China.
China, the hometown of architecture, is recommended by Bian Xiao as a must-see spot for Gaoyou tourism. Welcome to read!
Yucheng Post:
National key cultural relics protection units. Gaoyou is famous for its postal service, so the first stop is of course Yucheng Post Station, an ancient post station built in the Ming Dynasty. Yucheng Post Station is the largest and best preserved ancient post station in China.
Before I got to Yucheng Post Station, I was attracted by Nanmen Street nearby. There are many shops there, mostly antique shops. It turned out that this street was left over from the Song Dynasty, and it was antique.
In fact, in addition to postal service, ancient post stations also had the function of receiving past officials and envoys from various countries. As the station is close to the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, Yucheng Station is responsible for transporting grain and salt from north to south.
At the same time, it also has the special function of escorting prisoners halfway, which is equivalent to our current detention center. Therefore, in the Ming Dynasty, Yucheng Post was large in scale, including main hall, back hall, gifts, warehouse, kitchen, horse temple, stable and so on.
In the courtyard of Yucheng Post Station, you can see the stone carving of Maxima, next to the humble but very old "rock"; There is a drum tower in the post station, which transmits time information with bells;
The beams and columns in the back hall of the post station are the remains of the Ming Dynasty post station and the essence of Yucheng post station. Exquisite carving patterns are also one of the reasons why Yucheng Station can become a "national security". Visitors must pay attention to this beautifully carved beam and column when visiting. Wen Youtai:
National 3A-level tourist attractions. Because Wenyoutai is a tall building built on the top of Tushan Mountain, you can climb high and overlook it. A long time ago, Wenyoutai was the "commanding height" of the local area, and you could see the scenery of the whole city and water town.
In the seventh year of Yuanfeng, when Su Shi passed Gaoyou, he and local sages Sun Jue, Qin Gong and others brought wine paper here, so it was later called Wenyoutai.
The scenery of Wenyoutai is really beautiful. I'm glad to go. As soon as I entered the door, I saw that the dark green lawn was really flourishing, and the statue of Qin Guan suddenly came into view, which was handsome and lovely.
The first thing to visit when entering the tourist platform is Miaobangtang, whose four walls are embedded with the stone inscription "Qin Youtie" inscribed by famous calligraphers such as Su Dongpo, Mi Yuanzhang and Dong Qichang. If you like calligraphy, you can study hard.
There is also a "cold well" with stories in Wenyoutai; On the east and west sides of the lobby of Wenyoutai are museum exhibition areas, where you can see many cultural relics excavated from Longzhou Village site. Ticket price: 30 yuan
Zhenguo Temple:
National 3A-level tourist attractions. Founded in the Tang Dynasty, Tang Xizong's younger brother saw through the world of mortals and became a monk. He visited famous ancient temples all over the world, and one day he traveled to Gaoyou and came to the Canal. He saw the canal ringing, the snow waves surging in Zhuhu Lake, and the vulgar thoughts suddenly vanished. So he settled down here to meditate and concentrate on promoting Buddhism.
Nuozong agreed to his request, allocated funds to build a temple and named it "Zhenguo Temple".
There is a Zhenguo Temple Tower built in the Tang Dynasty, which is called "South Wild Goose Pagoda". In the sunset sky, drive to Zhenguo Temple. From downtown to Zhenguo Temple, you will definitely pass through gaoyou lake and the vast gaoyou lake, reflecting a red sunset glow, and the lake is sparkling and magnificent.
Then, Zhenguo Temple will slowly enter your field of vision. It is actually an island in the canal. To reach Zhenguo Temple, you must first cross Pudu Bridge, because Zhenguo Temple is full of incense, some tourists pray devoutly, and some just enjoy the cool on Pudu Bridge.
Climbing to the top of the tower, you can see the fleet moving slowly in the canal. You can enjoy the magnificent canal, the magnificence of gaoyou lake and the beauty of canals and lakes here.
1956 The Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal was widened, and the Zhenguo Temple Tower should have been demolished because of the instructions of Premier Zhou Enlai.
"Make way to protect the tower", so there is an island in the middle of the canal nearly 40 acres, and the Zhenguo Temple Tower stands in it.
The tower of Zhenguo Temple is all made of blue bricks, which obviously retains the architectural style of ancient pagodas in Tang Dynasty, ranking first among more than 600 ancient pagodas in China. Ticket price: free of charge
