Jie Jin, the first gifted scholar in Ming Dynasty, completed a collection of documents after two years of extensive reading and careful research. On this basis, he was ordered to work with Yao and Liu Jichi to compile the masterpiece Yongle Dadian, which is the essence of Chinese culture. After four years of hard work, it was written in 1408 and successfully handed in.
Without the Ming Yongle Grand Ceremony, there would be no Qing Sikuquanshu!
It has always been an important and sacred duty of China scholars to compile history and books in prosperous times.
There are many intellectuals in China, and many intellectuals have been asked by universities. However, I am afraid that only Jie Jin in the Ming Dynasty and Ji Yun in the Qing Dynasty can preside over the compilation of such a magnificent system. There is no third except these two people. Later, there was nothing in the late Qing Dynasty, nothing in the Republic of China and nothing in New China. Especially nowadays, after a long period of "training", it is rare to see knowledgeable people. This is a great irony in today's so-called prosperous time. Whether it is an important task or a responsibility, today's radiant experts and scholars, especially cultural scholars, can only look back vaguely!
Jie Jin (1369 ——1415) was born in Jishui, Jiangxi. Born different, Ying Min is unparalleled. Her mother's handwriting was taught in infancy, and she could improvise poetry when she saw it at the age of six or seven. She was once called a child prodigy. Jie Jin was also a famous calligrapher in the early Ming Dynasty. He is not only good at small letters, but also good at cursive writing, and his pen is exquisite and unexpected. Jie Jin likes to write Weeds, and his cursive script pioneered Weeds in the late Ming Dynasty. Yingmin, a teenager in Hongwu for twenty-one years, was awarded the credentials of Jishi Shu at the age of twenty. There is also a great writer Ouyang Xiu in Jishui, Jiangxi. The two rural townships are quite similar in terms of resumes, official careers, origins and degrees. Ouyang Xiu and Jie Jin are both academicians of the Hanlin Academy, and they have served as waiters around the emperor. One is a college student in Longtuge, and the other is a college student in Youchunfang. The last one was chased by the emperor and the last one was killed by the emperor. It can be said that the fate of these two great scholars is almost the same.
However, compared with his fellow villagers in the Song Dynasty, Jie Jin's reputation and achievements in articles, poems, knowledge and works, as well as his position in the history of literature, are far inferior to this fellow villager. Ouyang Xiu was one of the eight masters in Tang and Song Dynasties. His poems and songs have been handed down from generation to generation, and they are still recited by people today, which can be said to be truly immortal. Jie Jin, however, except for the broken Yongle Dadian, his empty ambition and his unfortunate comments on people and things are mostly unknown to future generations.
