What skills should be paid attention to in poetry reading?

When I was in college, I worked as a host, reciting and broadcasting, and I can teach you some skills that you need to pay attention to when reading poetry. If there are mistakes, welcome criticism.

First of all, you must be confident in reciting. You may say, how can this be regarded as a technical thing? In fact, your mood is a basic skill. If you can't firmly believe that you are the only one who can read this recitation well, then you are particularly prone to hesitation and stagnation in recitation, which will often affect the overall aesthetic feeling of recitation and eventually make others think that you are a person who can't recite. Again, before reciting, you must read the meaning of this recitation repeatedly, know what you are reciting, know what its theme is, know what description techniques are used in the text, and then substitute yourself into the situation in the text. In this way, you will reach an emotional understanding with the author of this recitation, and you will read more fully and deeply.

Moreover, reciting requires certain vocal skills. The first thing is that your Mandarin must be standard. I once taught one of my classmates how to recite, because he is from Hunan and always confuses "L" with "N". Of course, I didn't mean to laugh at Hunan people, because their dialects have been spoken for thousands of years, and it is normal to change them. We should respect their language style. But for reciting, this ambiguity has become a big weakness of him. For example, he always reads "Daxinganling" as "Daxinganling". I have tried many times but failed to help him correct it. Finally, I told him that you should study "Daxing Liu An" instead of "Daxing Liu An". Sure enough, he watched Daxinganling. So it's very important to speak Mandarin well. If you are not good at Mandarin, you will only make a lot of jokes if you practice reciting by force.

Also, pay attention to cadence when reciting, so that the poems read out have a sense of rhythm. After all, the words on the paper are dead. Although it can make you feel artistic conception, it has no sense of rhythm. At this time, the reciter needs to project this artistic conception into the audience's mind with his own voice, so I always think that recitation is a particularly beautiful art. For example, some people like to drag the last word of each sentence, while others like to leave half of the last word. This is because everyone has a different understanding of recitation. You can imagine reading the sentences you want to read according to your own understanding: you can read some gorgeous sentences longer, and you can read some passionate sentences shorter. It all depends on your own understanding. Because the reciter is guiding others' emotions, if you don't have an emotional tone first, the audience will feel very lost.

In short, people who like to read aloud are often enthusiastic about the stage and writing. I hope you can keep this hobby.
