Shen Xuan
Qinchuan, a martial arts player, was famous in ancient times. He occasionally took a boat to watch the sunset.
All seven streams lead to the sea, and ten miles of green hills and a half enter the city.
The tomb of Qi women is deserted in autumn, and the public plays the old piano.
I have been here on this Mid-Autumn Festival night.
As a native of Changshu, few people know Shen Xuan, but almost everyone knows the famous sentence "Seven streams and thousands of waters lead to the sea, and ten miles of green hills are half the city".
The first sentence points out that Qinchuan ("Qinchuan" and "Yu Hai" are the ancient names of Changshu or posthumous title) to which Wu belongs has been famous since ancient times. In the second period, the Ming Dynasty poets happened to pass Changshu by boat in the evening, and they could not help but be elated at the beautiful scenery of Changshu.
The next two sentences, namely the third sentence and the fourth sentence, are called "antithetical sentences" in metrical poems, and they must be "antithetical" according to metrical rules. There are many scenic spots in Changshu, which should be summarized in two poems. Only the landscape that best reflects the characteristics of Changshu, that is, I have other landscapes to describe. The poet chose the "Qinchuan Seven Strings" built on the mountain and the Changshu City Wall to form the characteristic landscape of Yushan "Half Man City" to represent the scenery of Changshu. It can really be described as "looking for pearls", and the selection of representative scenery must be expressed in the most incisive and vivid language. The author can write these two characteristic landscapes into a stable couplet, which shows that he has spent a lot of effort. These two 14-character poems have become the eternal swan song describing the natural landscape of Changshu.
The fifth and sixth sentences of the poem are called "neck couplets" in metrical poems, and they must also be confronted according to metrical rules. These two poems roughly describe the cultural landscape of Changshu. The poet's choice of things related to the two historical figures "Seven Women" and "Gong Yan" is also of typical significance. "Daughter of Qi" refers to the beloved daughter of Qi Jinggong, the monarch of Qi at the end of the Spring and Autumn Period. She married Bo, the eldest son of He Lv, the king of Wu, and was heartbroken because she missed her hometown all day. Before she died, she asked to be buried at the top of Yushan Mountain so that she could see Qi from a distance. After his illness, the king of Wu got his wish. Where is the tomb of Qi Nv? There are two sayings: Xinfeng Pavilion, the highest place in the city, and Wanghaidun, the peak of Yushan Mountain. In any case, it is certain that the poet passed by the foot of Yushan by boat and saw the grave on the top of the mountain, which aroused his feelings. At sunset, Fennu's tomb in autumn is hidden in weeds, which means Changshu has a long history. "Gong Yan" refers to the words of "Wu Wenkai people". After Yanzi's hometown, it seems that she can still hear the ancient string songs and piano sounds, suggesting that Changshu is a country with far-reaching literary influence.
The last two sentences of this poem describe that it was the night of Mid-Autumn Festival. With the rise of a bright moon in Ran Ran, the poet, while enjoying the moon on the boat, recited the wonderful artistic conception in the poem, unconsciously introducing the readers to the picturesque realm.
The author of this poem, Shen Xuan, was born in Ming Dynasty. During Xuande's reign, he was recruited as a doctor and later as a doctor. This man is not well-known among poets in past dynasties, but this song has crossed the ocean, but it reminds us Changshu people of him.
